I know this guy and he is, without question, in it for the money. Aside from having what I would charitably describe as "social issues", he lived with my friend for almost a year without offering to help with any of her rent or expenses. He was unemployed at the time and worked the "poor me" angle like a champ. When he finally decided to move out, he had already set himself up with a new sugar mama to pay his way and had somehow miraculously managed to accrue enough money to make a downpayment on a house in upstate New York.
