In this recently-lost-in-the-mess-of-my-inbox edition: Si Newhouse, Anna Wintour x2, Noah Wyle, one of the Barbers, Jon Bon Jovi, Mary Louise Parker, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Leguizamo, Stephon Marbury.
· I rode up the elevator at 4 Times Square with Si Newhouse and Anna Wintour. First time that happened to me. They talked about how bad the Stepford Wives remake is supposed to be, and Anna promised Si he'd get an invite to an upcoming memorial for Helmut
Newton in Paris.
· Sunday afternoon, Anna Wintour, corner of Gansevoort and Greenwich walking, with nary a car service in sight. I recognized her from the days when we were neighbours on Sullivan St. The hair, the sunglasses, and the look: just dripping money.
· Saturday [5/1] at the Central Park Zoo I saw TV's Noah Wyle toting his cute child. I'm a guy and I'm straight but that's a good lookin' dude. The previous Saturday at the Zoo I saw one of the Barbers (Tiki, Ronde, Zeppo?) with his little boy. While getting my haircut (Sally Harshberger) I saw a guy getting a shampoo and thought "that dude kinda looks like Jon Bon Jovi. Only puffier". Turns out it was indeed the Jersey Outlaw. Soon after I saw Mary Louise Parker cruise by me talking on her cell on the way to the shampoo station. Kinda pale but very pretty.
· I saw Jake Gyllenhaal in the Meatpacking District around 9am yesterday [5/3]. He was in dirtball mode—grungy clothes, greasy hair—but still looked totally doable. He is taller than I expected...and hotter, too.
· I was hanging out with friends at a LES bar and guess who came and joined us? Michael Pitt ("The Dreamers" and "Rhinoceros Eyes"). He told us that he's in a new campaign for Armani and David Yurman.
· John Leguizamo needs to get some much needed sleep. The actor, who lives in the East Village, is often seen pushing a stroller in the early hours of the morning but has a tendency to bump it into trees. Poor kid.
· Saw Stephon Marbury of Knicks fame yesterday [5/2] on Park South heading in to a funiture store with his gf/wife and some other hanger-on. Not as tall as I though he would be. He had an ice cube sized diamond in each ear.... A true baller indeed.....
