Jake Gyllenhaal is traipsing about the City, doing PR for his disaster pic, "The Day After Tomorrow." (Late Sunday night, our people spotted him chatting with Kirsten Dunst on a stoop on Waverly Street.)

But the sad word from Gyllenhaal-land is that the gay is getting sucked right out of his next project, the upcoming Ang Lee flick "Brokeback Mountain," and not in that good way. In a recent interview, Jake said that "Ang said two men herding sheep was far more sexual than two men having sex on screen." Says our Official Homosexual Film Correspondent, "Um, Ang? No. Really. It's not. I've seen sheep, and I've seen (in my fantasies) Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger making hot monkey love on screen. The two ain't even close."
