Okay, that's taken care of. Now, isn't today's NYT account of yesterday's mactress (that's model/actress) shooting just utterly over the top? Was this accidentally lifted from the Onion? Ms. "Monica Meadows" (uh, porn star name much?) even rated testimonials from actors and agents, and got a big beautiful headshot above the fold on the front of the Metro section. Finally, and most suspiciously, this shooting was timed during Tony week — she's stealing Broadway thunder! I bet you dollars to donuts she gets a shout-out on Tony night.

Ms. Meadows, model and victim, is gonna be subbing in Caroline, or, Change within two weeks. By July, young mactresses are going to be shooting each other in the streets for their careers.

Ugh, I think I just finally tipped my karmic scale. I'm so getting mugged on the way home.
