PR megafirm Rubenstein Associates celebrated its 50th anniversary of seeding items on Page Six (it's easy, when you rep the NY Post) and tossing stories to cranky Timesmen. From the party report:

[Governor] Pataki joked that had Mr. Rubenstein been around to represent the rats during the bubonic plague, the headlines would have read, "Rodents Unfairly Accused of Mild Rash."

Ah yes: when Marv Albert bites a date? He has been there. When Kathie Lee Gifford has been accused of having 10-year-old Malaysian children sew her clothing for pennies? He has been there. And when Donald Trump's hair has evolved into its own being? It just means Rubenstein has an extra client. Here's to the next 50 years, Mr. Rubenstein.
