The political documentary The Hunting of the President, about the Republicans' attempt to "systematically destroy the political legacy of the Clintons," has pushed back its release in deference to dead GOP symbol of light Ronald Reagan, saying it would be wrong "during a week of mourning to be throwing a party."

Meanwhile, Garfield continues to dance on Reagan's grave like a protectionist Democrat on ecstasy. A quick perusal of the official Garfield: The Movie website reveals even more insensitivity in this time of sadness. If the banner declaring "HITS THE BIG SCREEN JUNE 11th" (the National Day of Mourning) doesn't scream "We're glad the senile fucker is dead!" then the cat's declarations that "I am finally getting the attention I deserve!" and "It's all about ME-OW!" reveal the film's bald-faced, spotlight-stealing gambit. Look for Garfield to show up in a commercial during the funeral, urging viewers to "Put the bones in the ground, then put your ass in a movie seat!"
