While we were out celebrating the Fourth of July, a strange e-mail "press release" heralding the imminent arrival of a "kinky S&M Cameron Diaz film" landed in our inbox. Somehow, between vomiting off a roof in the South Bay and nearly losing our genitals to a suspiciously well-aimed bottle rocket, we forgot about the mysterious press release. Then foot-mirror-enthusiast sister blog Fleshbot started getting e-mail announcing the Cameron Diaz video had hit the internet. We've seen the trailer for the video, and in it a much younger Diaz displays a bit of craft you won't hear about on Inside the Actor's Studio, unless James Lipton finally cracks and does the show on mushrooms: Cameron perks up her nipples with a can of freon or compressed air, giggling "Whoa! Look at them, look at how big they got!" We've nearly fainted wondering about what goodies the full-length offering must hold!

The site hosting the video keeps crashing, but we imagine they'll have that remedied soon enough to meet the public's demand for seeing the highest-paid actress in Hollywood bare her chest and play with chains when she was obviously living a little more paycheck-to-paycheck. If you insist on reading about some legal problems surrounding the video, go right ahead. You need something to do while the website comes back online.

Here's the "press release" [with some redaction]:

The film, shot back in 1992 by John Rutter had been a real legal “hot potato” for Rutter.

The Shrek 2 actress had originally sought an injunction to stop photographer, John Rutter, from trying to sell topless photographs and video footage of her back in June of 2003. The photos and footage were taken when Diaz, now 31, was a 19-year-old model who had not yet gained fame as an actress.

“To the best of my understanding, Rutter had sold the rights to the tape to [XXX] sometime early last year” said “KB” an industry Public Relations figure who specializes in the promotion of celebrity sex tapes. “KB” also goes on to say “ The case was a long , drawn out case against Rutter that ran the gamut from extortion to forgery, but later it was ruled he did in fact have the copyright on the production. Rutter licensed the copyright to the footage and photos years ago and early last year the distributor sold the rights to [XXX], they have now released it via the company’s website [XXX] the membership charge is $39.95.

“ I must say that Ms. Diaz looks very sexy in this footage and of course her being topless is a major plus for us”, said [XXX] “ it’s not everyday people get to see the biggest female movie star in Hollywood, in this type of a role, and she is hot!”
