A spy files this report from last night's premiere of Eulogy at the Mann Festival in Westwood, and, more importantly, from the after party at Palomino. It's always so touching to know that bloated, fading stars like John Travolta will turn out to chew on some cake and give the scenery a much-needed respite from his teeth-marks.

The movie is terrible. Barely competent, like early Kevin Smith films. This made it all the more surprising how many people weren't too ashamed to show their face at the after party at Palomino.

Ray Romano, who I understand is on some sort of breeder sitcom was there as was his TV mother, Doris Roberts. Jesse Bradford, very cute in person, was there with some well dressed but cheep looking hussy. Fresh from her Myra Breckinridgian turn on Nip/Tuck, Famke Janssen and her long, lovely legs held court at a table of gays. Beside her, was Kelly Preston (her lezbo lover from the movie) and of course her Scientology posterboy slash increasingly irrelevant 70's icon husband, John Travolta. At one point waiters brought out a cake glowing with candles and John lead everyone in singing Happy Birthday to his wife. Afterward John had a little reunion of sorts with his Carrie costar Piper Laurie. If only I'd had a bucket of fresh pig's blood.

Why, is that what Scientologists use to wash down their birthday cake to celebrate their L. Ron-enabled immortality? Oh...that's a Carrie reference. Our apologies.
