In today's episode: Quentin Tarantino at Pink's; Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal, together again; various members of the Wayans clan at Kate Mantilini's; Marisa Tomei eating breakfast; Tara Reid rocking some Uggs; Sandra Bullock; Laurence Fishburne; Maria Shriver; Elijah Wood; Ben McKenzie, Peter Gallagher; Dennis Quaid; Amanda Bynes; Adrian Grenier; Hilary and Haylie Duff; Anthony Kiedis; Dave Navarro; Tori Spelling.

· Saw Quentin Tarantino at Pink's at 11ish Sunday night after my outstanding double feature of Xanadu and the Apple at the New Beverly. Tarantino reeked of alcohol and was bitching that in over 20 years that he has been going to Pink's, they've never asked him to put his picture up on the wall. (Even Nia Vardolas is up there...twice)

· I was enjoying a light lunch at the newly refurbed Ammo on Highland, and as we finished our meal, who shows up? Hollywood's favorite are they or aren't they together couple: Kirsten Dunst & Jake Gyllenhaal. They chose a nice seat outdoors, and if their cozy body language was any indication, they look very much the happy couple. Kirsten was adorable, and Jake is, of course, very handsome in person. She kept leaning over the table and putting her arms on him, very cute.

· Had a craving for overpriced "American Fare" on Saturday night and had the
urge to risk my life driving on the oil-slicked roads in the first rain of the season, so we went to Kate Mantilini's in Beverly Hills. While waiting the requisite 10 minutes for a table, a sizable chunk of the Wayans family finished their meal and filed out of the back of the eatery. Keenan Ivory was there and Damon brought up the rear smiling and shaking hands with well-wishers. If I'd had a few more vodka tonic concoctions in me, I would have asked him to compare "Homey the Clown" to his current, painfully lame family gig on ABC.

· Saw Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei sitting at the counter having breakfast at John O' Groats this past Sunday morning around 9:15 AM. She ordered the corn beef hash.

· I saw Tara Reid leaving Maxfileld, she was wearing a Roxy hooded
sweatshirt, jeans, Ugg style boots with seams up the middle and carrying a Louis Vuitton bag. The interesting bit was they way that her tits looked—yes I stared. they appeared be drifting into her armpits, it was fairly cold and her nipple were pointing out at the strangest angle.

Also at Maxfield earlier on Sandra Bullock was helped out of the store by one of the employees holding an umbrella to stop the paparazzi, who were standing on the roofs of there cars trying to get shots over the back fence, from getting any pictures. No doubt they got the pictures.

On Saturday I saw Lawrence Fishburne come to the aid of his fiancee who got a flat on her (old style) Mercedes SL. Fishburne arrived on his Ducati and waited with her till some other guy changed the wheel. What a nice chap.

· Saw maria shriver with her daughter and mother eunice at neiman marcus in b.h. on wednesday. she was looking quite casual and was on crutches... it looked like she had some sort of foot injury. maybe that's only news to me. it's the only excuse she has for the nurse shoe she was wearing on her non-injured foot.

· spotted frodo...i mean....elijah wood at the Gogol bordello show at the knitting factory on sunday night. In a sea of hipsters wrapped in scarves, he and I were the only two with exposed necks. but, i shouldn't give him too much credit; he's only 5'4''...that means that he's always surrounded by wind blocking tall people in large crowds.

· Was about to enter the Barnes & Noble at Westside Pavilion on Saturday (10/23) when I stopped to check out the billboard advertising the new season of “The O.C.” Mischa Barton’s skeletal visage caused me to avert my eyes to the tables outside Barnes…where they promptly spied Benjamin McKenzie nursing a cup of coffee with a twenty-something blonde. He looked exactly as he does on the billboard (lack of wifebeater notwithstanding), casually dressed in a black sweatshirt and jeans; his ladyfriend was wearing a similar outfit and too much makeup.

· I wish I could flip you a token Adam/Rachel Indie Rock show sighting, but I'm not cool enough to even know where Indie bands are playing these days. I do, however, have a constant craving for Jewish food, so Monday afternoon had me perched comfortably inside the Beverly Hills noshery Nate N' Al's. A quick glance over my right shoulder (towards the booths where "they" sit) revealed a startling bushy pair of eyebrows attached to Peter Gallagher of the O.C. He was sitting with a young 20-something type who could have been his son. He shook a few hands and dashed off a few genuine looking smiles, but from my distance he looked sort of gray all over. He should eat more pickles.

· yesterday i was getting bagels at Brentwood's best celebrity-spotting breakfast joint (NY Bagels on San Vicente) and Dennis Quaid and his new wife were right behind me in line. They were both extremely good-looking and appeared to be very happy and in love.

· I saw Amanda Bynes in the Whole Foods off 3rd Street. She looks WAY too skinny. We're talkin' MK Olsen skinny. She was rocking a cute casual/sporty look with a great LV bag. I must say she had perfect hair; however, her head is too big for her ridiculously skinny body and her perfect golden locks over-emphasized that. She poked around for a while
and ended up leaving with very little.

· Saw Adrian Grenier (hot, but kinda skinny in person) at Jones last night (Tuesday) with an unidentified male friend. He was rocking out to the hair metal music, playing some serious air guitar, and drinking beer. Looked like he was having fun. They stayed for about 45 minutes.

· Went to XES in Hollywood Friday night. Saw both Hilary Duff and her sister, who I must say is a lot cuter when she isn't being an accessory to her sister, clinging to her arm at those Nickelodeon red carpet events. However, Haylie should probably talk to whoever puts her extensions in because they were looking excessively fake and nappy. She was dancing in a booth with some friends when CT from Real World Paris shoe horned himself in next to her and attempted what I can only assume was some "networking" to further his "carreer." She turned to the guy sitting on her other side, clearly creeped out, and ignored CT until he went away. I'm not to proud to admit that before this event I asked him to dance and he totally rejected me, in my defense I thought he was just a cute guy, not a reality tv pawn.

Boogie, host of the Wade Robson project, was at the door greating people, promoting, etc....then he got on the mic and said some stuff at closing time.

· saw anthony kiedis in beverly hills for the second time in one week. looks
more like a pantene model everytime i see him. once again, he was with a lady friend. i couldn't tell if she was the same gal i saw him with last week, but they were holding hands and galavanting along in an alley behind rodeo drive. he really seems to enjoy just hanging out and showing off
his bob and bangs.

· Saw Dave Navarro getting on my flight yesterday from LAX to JFK. I spotted his lovely Louis Vuitton carry-on at the gate before I recognized him. He was wearing that fedora-sunglasses combo he usually rocks. With a mohawked guy in track pants that may or may not have been a Chili Pepper that isn't Flea or Anthony Kiedis. Seemed pretty cheery, although he's less attractive in person than he is on television— he's funny-looking.

· At the Cinegrill in the Roosevelt Hotel (don’t ask...) B-list celebrity sighting of newlyweds Tori Spelling and Charlie Shanian. We were all at the Marcy Heisler and Zena Goldrich show; apparently Marcy and Zena wrote a song for Charlie to sing as a gift for Tori at their rehearsal dinner called "I Love You, Crazy!" Charlie was there to sing this endearing little tune, and took it a step further by recreating the moment by bringing Tori to the stage and singing it to her again.... so cute, so in love, and boy, is she skinny! Tori got all misty-eyed and sappy, and Charlie is actually a pretty good performer (he sang 2 songs). It was a very sweet moment for these two love-birds.... I wonder if this song will work against him when he contests the pre-nup in a year?!
