Lily In The Sky With Diamonds
LA.comfidential ventured out to last night's Hammer Conversation at UCLA with I Heart Huckabees maverick/director/headlock artist David O. Russell and star Lily Tomlin. Tomlin shared her thoughts on drugs as a "creative tool" with the audience:
Fielding that question, Tomlin got down on her hands and knees and told the audience about the time she did mushrooms at Nate 'N Al's with her friend "Jane" (no last name, but we assume it rhymes with Honda) and had an epiphany about Harpo Marx and his use of physical comedy.
What a strange coincidence...the last time we did mushrooms at Canter's, our Reuben became Jerry Lewis and then lectured us on the nuances of the original Nutty Professor. Then we ate him.
UPDATE: It should be noted, as several readers have pointed out, that Tomlin was probably referring to her partner, Jane Wagner, and not to leg-warmer aficionado Jane Fonda. We mean, tripping face with Jane Fonda? What were they thinking?
