The Curious Case of Julia Roberts' Premature Twins has been cracked wide open by that paragon of investigative journalism, the anonymous Craigslist poster:

Julia Roberts had her doctor induce labor so the twins could be born two months early so the ensuing publicity would help promote her two movies about to be released, Closer and Ocean's Twelve. Very interesting timing, no?

Very interesting. But you know what? As a publicity stunt, we're not that impressed. Much better was Warner Bros.' original plan: A very preggers Roberts would collapse into contractions on the red carpet, issuing forth each of her O-12 co-stars from her birth canal in reverse order of billing, her womb serving as the world's most A-list clown car. Naturally, George Clooney would be the last to emerge, charmingly joking with the press that the twins insisted they'd come out only if the movie opens at number one.
