Virginia Heffernan weighs in on Power Girls, the new MTV reality show starring four slaves of perma-tan publicist Lizzie Grubman. (And oh, that tan. Surely her dermatologist is livid.):

Lizzie herself (slim, tan, smoking) now has a scandal-hardened persona that gives the show shape. Her mob accent, grande-dame gestures and native arrogance ("People, places and things: I make them famous") have settled into a personality; she appears to have given up on being cute - or innocent - and the decision becomes her.

Um, we're pretty sure Lizzie gave up on the "cute" thing a long way back. Like, 30 years ago.
