Gawker Hotties: Let the Games Begin
It's summer, and it's hot, and it's sticky, and it's sultry, and our thoughts, like everyone else's in this pulsating, pervy sexy, are turning to sex. And because we're unusually unusual, when our thoughts turn to sex they turn to a very specific kink: media sex. We don't care about lawyer love, broker boinks, or finance guys fucking; we're just interested in writhing writers, canoodling columnists, fondling photogs.
But the question still remains: With whom? That's where y'all come in. For the rest of the summer, we'll be naming Gawker Hotties — that is, the media folks with whom we'd all most like to have some summer lovin'. And you're going to help us do it.
Here's how it'll work. On Monday, we'll pick a media organization. By noon Wednesday, you'll nominate your favorite hotties there. Voting will begin Thursday morning, and run for the rest of the week and through the weekend. Monday morning we'll announce our Gawker Hottie and start again.
Consider this, then, the first call for entries. Like everything else in media, it all starts with The New York Times, and this week we're looking for men.
Transfixed by the tousled, Southern charms of Warren St. John? Dig the preppy wonkiness of Nick Confessore? David Carr exude a special, grizzled sexiness that makes you weak in the knees? Then nominate them, or others: tips@gawker.com.
It's The Men of the Times. Nominations due at noon Wednesday; voting begins Thursday morning.
