Subway Searches: Bad for Your Dealer, Less So for Terrorists
Amid all the wild cheers and exuberant applause for the exciting, exciting new policy of subway searches, one private security expert makes an interesting point in the Post:
"If they're doing the inspection right at the turnstile, that's not effective." Varkonyi said.
"If someone had something and they were actually caught with an explosive, they're just as likely to blow themselves up as anything."
Of course, waiting on hot, sticky subway platforms at this time of year, death might come as sweet, sweet relief. Thanks, NYPD!
