It's that time of the year, apparently, when random companies conduct polls to gauge American opinion on a variety of inconsequential matters. The latest asks our countrymen where they'd most like to live:

And when it comes to Americans' choices for cities, while the West may again be over-represented, the 'Big Apple', New York City, comes in #1 for the sixth consecutive time as the U.S. city people would choose to live in or near.

We should note that one was to answer the survey without regard to housing concerns, income, the F train, air quality, cowboy boots, sales tax, or midtown.
