In this edition: Paul McCartney and family, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jonathan Safran Foer, Mary Louis Parker, Claire Danes, Lared Leto, Lauren Ambrose, Julianne Moore, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Eva Longoria, Kevin Connolly and Nicky Hilton, Marissa Tomei, Danny Masterson and Bijou Philips, Kyle McLaughlin, Heather Mattazarro, and Danny Devito.

I saw Paul McCartney and the fam biking down Main St. in Amagansett on Sunday. The baby was with him in one of those attached seats and wifey was trailing behind. Anyway, Paul looked like, well, Paul. His hair didn't have that shoepolish-color look, so that's an improvement.

Saw Gwyneth Paltrow browsing at Mayfair Jewelers in East Hampton on Saturday the 20th.

Saw tiny lil Jonathan Safran Foer in Prospect Park very early this morning {Saturday}, around 7am, walking his very tall black female dog {named George}. He looks like he's 14 years old!

Saw Mary Louise Parker (8/17) in Washington Square kid's park. She looked pale and fragile, chic-grungy with mounds and mounds of black hair. Very skinny and she looked a little out of it, but she played with her kid in spite of the nanny being around.

On Saturday, 8/20 I was crossing the street at 84th and 3rd and saw a girl holding this poor little dog in one of those Elizabethan collars (I always feel bad for them- I know I wouldn't be happy if someone put me in one of those ridiculous things). Upon closer inspection I realized the girl was none other than Sookie Sapperstein herself, Claire Danes. She was pretty- no make up and great skin, but very plain Jane- really, if I didn't know who she was I never would have given her a second look. I thought it was kind of odd to see her all the way up on the UES, but there's a veterinary hospital on that block- guess she was taking care of the pooch. She hailed a cab and took off.

Saw Jared Leto and a male friend at the streetfair on University Place on Saturday.

Lauren Ambrose (Claire from six feet under) at the container store, 19th & 6th in Chelsea. She and a rather unattractive hipster/musician/ generally straggly type returning a small item. (couldn't see exactly what) A friend i was with thought it might be her husband (is she married?) She is ridiculously thin but still intensely beautiful- much more so than on the show.

Julianne Moore was in a lovely olive linen sundress with a snake skin belt to match, light make-up, and a straw hat at Vento, downtown (meatpacking district) at 3pm on Friday (late lunch). She is really beautiful in person and sorta pale, but gorgeous and her smile is very genuine. She and this director type talked on the cell phone a lot.

I saw Maggie Gyllenhaal Sat afternoon (8/20) walking down University Place. She looked healthy and pretty despite the heat, and she was wearing a great brown sundress. Why does she always look so frumpy in magazines?

Saw Eva Longoria today 8/21 at 10:45am riding her bike down 7th ave in the village in size 0 jeans, a peach silk top and perfect hair and makeup. Then went uptown for some lunch at Norma's around 1:30pm and spotted Kevin "E" Connolly and Nicky Hilton having french toast and breakfast quesadillas with an unknown girl.

I was at the Hell's Kitchen Flea Market on Saturday the 20th and while looking over some funky vintage shirts, I noticed Marissa Tomei standing right next to me...I was literally rubbing elbows with her! She was very pretty and had beautiful skin. She was with a larger and frumpier dark-haired woman with large sunglasses who she chatted with while she made her way booth to booth. I couldn't stop staring and I noticed that she didn't buy anything. Funny thing was no one else, not even the vendors, seemed to realize or care who she was....I guess I was just a star-struck Jerseyite.

Just finished a late boozeness lunch at Del Frisco's (49th & 6th), Thurs 8/18 @ 4pm-ish, and upon exiting saw Danny Masterson and Bijou Philips walking towards us, going west on 49th. I had that star-sighting freeze, but kept it together enough to give the "12 0'clock" nod to the rest of my lunch crew. I wish my late afternoon buzz could have turned into a high five with them, but I just watched them go by hand in hand instead... Danny, as I feel most star sightings are, was a total midge in person but his face looks the same as it does on TV. Bijou looked like a cracked out, malnourished, sleep-deprived freak as usual.

Today (8/18) at 25th/7th Ave...found myself crossing the street with Trey McDougal himself, a tan and buff Kyle McLaughlin. I knew I had to touch, so as we met the curb, I pulled my flustered self together, put on my best Charlotte, and said, "Hi, I'm a big fan." He had headphones on, which he promptly pulled off, and we shook hands and he said thanks.

saw Heather Mattazarro lighting a cig at the corner of 61st and 2nd on 8/16. I wanted a longer time to stare, but then there was some car accident and we all rubbernecked over there.

I saw Danny Devito on Aug 19 at the MOMA. He was there during the time of Free Friday Night, with a woman who wasn't his wife, possibly his daughter. He is shorter than I could have imagined.
