Saw the former commander...in chief, Bill Clinton at the Central Park Zoo this morning. He looked better than he has recently...a little less painfully post operation thin. Gave me the half smile, lip biting nod as he passed by....

On a visit to New York, my hometown, being shooed out of the Met just after 5:15, I see a guy walking near me and am reminded of someone. Yes, it is him. Brad Pitt. The hair is black, the features small and a little tired, the clothes black and layered and kind of interesting. Seems like an all right guy.

I saw Lindsay Lohan and Jared Leto at Table 50 last night (Tues, 8/30) to celebrate his new album. They hid out in the cave-like VIP area for the hour and a half they were there. I kept going to the bathroom in hopes of bumping into Lindsay but no such luck.

Went to see 'the pillowman' last night, 8/31. as i was leaving, i turned and gave a compulsory smile to a petite brunette woman waiting patiently in the aisle near me. she looked away instantly, which seemed a little rude, and then i realized i was staring at Sally Field. she was in the new york uniform — all black — and looks really good, blessedly looking her age sans botox.

Rounding the corner of 68th and Madison in a rush to get to work, I nearly collided with a senior citizen. Annoyed by the little man blocking my way, imagine my surprise when I recognized Woody Allen's face peaking from beneath a baseball cap. He is tiny: had I not stopped short, his face would have been nestled in my sweaty bosom.

on tuesday 8/30 i saw Diana Ross at JFK on my flight to lax. well, actually I saw Diana Ross' hair, it's huge!! she got out of her limo and signed a few autographs while 100% of american airlines security stared in awe. she wore some sort of beige and black moo-moo and she didn't tip the curbside checkin guy who helped her out with her luggage. a fat Christian Slater was also on my flight. in coach.

Saturday 8/27... Sandra Bullock and Jesse James walking east on Prince Street in SoHo... She's thicker than I imagined she'd be but overall very cute.... Not quite sure what the "Girl Next Door" sees in him but she was laughing at something he said so maybe he's a funny guy.

I saw Wilmer Valderrama or whatever his name is at PM last night (Tues. 8/30). He was definitely channeling Master P or at least pretending to be some kind of No Limit Soldier. Basically, he was surrounded by hoes and wearing some sort of off-white Stetson. I kept double taking because I was trashed. After staring at him for about five minutes, some security looking guy came up and asked me "What you doing?" I thought "I have no fucking idea. What am I doing? Why am I here?" Next to me, some hoe was dancing on one of the partitions between the tables. It was like a 50 Cent launch party with 50 replaced by a bunch of underage hoes "dancing" on tables. Plus, its a velvet rope place. Which I find as laughable as the China Club still having a velvet rope. You 19? You wearing a halter top? Ok then, you in. I need to get some new friends. But, in the final analysis, them bitches could work them heels. Even if it was on inter-table hoe partitions.

Saw Renee Zellweger on 67th and Columbus this morning (August 31st at noon). Noticed her because I thought "God if I was that sick and thin I would NOT be walking around in a baby blue sports bra." I almost felt bad staring, as if I was staring at some sort of abnormal looking medical patient. Bones popping out everywhere, not thin in a glamorous way. She was nothing special looking at all.

just saw Drew Barrymore on the corner of 18th and park avenue south on her cell phone. she was definitely ticked off, walking huffily into oncoming traffic and yelling, "Well Victor CLEARLY has the personality of a ROCK." instead of continuing her diatribe while walking (which would have called much less attention from passerby), she just stopped outside Haru and gestured wildly. i am dying to know who this victor is. and by the way, she was wearing cargo pants and no sunglasses and looked adorable.

I saw Jake Gyllenhaal on Broadway sporting a beard. He had just come out of Bloomingdales. he was with some ugly girl who didn't hold a candle to Kirsten Dunst.

Spotted Annabella Sciorra at Pastis for lunch this afternoon (8/30). She was sitting at a prominent table next to the hostess and was accompanied by a younger woman. She is unbelievably gorgeous.

I was at Angelica Kitchen about a week ago, when my easily scandalized friend goes "who's the man with all the tattoos??" i look over and instantly recognized said tattoos from the posters on my bedroom wall circa 1994. it was Anthony Kiedis, looking freakishly muscled for a man in his forties, and even more so for a man with luxurious, Pantene pro-v style hair with heavy bangs. he was dining on the same side of the small table with an anonymous girl, who looked very young indeed.

Today (Aug. 31) I saw Morgan Fairchild accompannied by Screen Actors Guild president, Paul Christie, at the rally for NYU's Graduate Student Union.

9/2 saw Gavin Degraw as i was swiftly walking down 53rd btw bway and 8th this morning. he's tallish and was wearing that nouveau Western jeans and cowboy shirt get-up that's basically his uniform. he was standing outside one of those coffee and donut carts just down the street from the letterman studios and vocally trying to get some service. i checked to see if he's on letterman tonight, and he's not. maybe he just likes to hang out with the homeless people of bway and harass cheap donut vendors?

Went to buy the new Kanye West Album today and saw Kanye himself at the Uinion Sq. Virgin Megastore. He wasn't doing press or anything, just buying the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. (maybe he was checking to see if his album was displayed properly?). No one seemed to notice him.

I was sitting on the steps of the Booth Theatre around the corner from SPAMALOT at around 7 and walking up 45th Street I see David Hyde Pierce wearing an NYPD baseball cap pulled down over his head with a cellphone to his ear. I watched him walk nearly the entire block till he passed me and he never spoke and looked completely disconnected from his conversation. I'm pretty sure he was just holding the phone to his ear so that no one would stop him and bother him.

Saw Alice Cooper in the second row of the Saturday night 8/27 performance of Spam-A-Lot. My friend Iain was in line behind him for the bathroom during intermission, and reported that Cooper went in the stall to pee and did not flush. Iain also suspects the aging rocker may have recently enjoyed some asparagus. During Act II, one of the actors, the hilarious Alan Tudyk, managed to incorporate the phrase"School's Out for Summer!" into the Knights who say "Ni" bit.

Yesterday (9/1) saw Miss Sixteen Candles herself, Molly Ringwald, waiting at the 8th street stop for the R train. Her hair has gone a bit blonder, and the pink lipgloss she was applying seemed too pink, but she still looked great.

Last night (9/1) around 10:45 pm in the main inside dinning room at Ono, Tommy Lee and a party of 5 sat next to us. They were surprisingly pretty tame, quiet table, and throughout the meal Tommy was kissing an unremarkable brunette (I thought he was back with Pam?!). Thought I expected as much, he is rather scrawny and looks like an old man dressed up as an 18 year-old.

Was checking out mags today (8/31) at Barnes & Noble on 6th Ave and found myself next to Rod Corddry. Yes, I stared, and wanted him to do something funny. He was flipping through the Wired magazine with Jon Stewart on the cover, but didn't buy.
