And speaking of faux-newspapers, boosterish or otherwise, we received this tip about one of the manifold changes afoot at the new New York Press:

Just noticed that the "new" New York Press has resorted to the Metro/AMNY tactic of having guys stand outside the subway stations and thrust copies into the hands of passersby.

Ah, yes. It's the surest way to truly join the ranks of New York's top ignored newspapers.

But somehow we missed "harass potential readers on their way into the train" as one of the lofty goals in their manifesto. Funny, that.
