My friend and I went to a fashion week In Style kickoff event @ the Time Warner Center the night of 9/7/05. At the after party my friend and I were sipping champagne when Heather Locklear sat down next to us and stole my friend's press kit!! She only took the page that listed the other celebrities that were supposed to be there although they weren't. I imagine that's why she left shortly thereafter. She looked older but still very naturally beautiful and looked like she wasn't even wearing any make up at all. She was dressed in a simple black dress and seemed gracious to all although she /did steal my friend's press kit, for shame.

Saw Lindsay Lohan tonight 9/8 at Matsuri around 830pm. I was there meeting a few friends for drinks and fighting my way in past the supermodels smoking out front, when I noticed a small girl with bright blonde hair sitting on the bench near the maitre'd. She was sitting quietly and playing with her sidekick.

Bungalow 8 on the night of 9/7 (or the morning of the 8th?). Lots of great sightings tonight. Nicole Ritchie with Jonathan Cheban, Lindsay Lohan and Heather Graham. It's entirely possible I'm leaving someone out, but I'm getting out of breath. Lindsay was dressed in baggy boho clothes and Nicole is one the verge of disappearing into ether if she loses any more weight.

Eric Clapton stepped into the patagonia store on wooster on saturday. ironically, creme was playing over the speakers. the guy behind the counter looked at clapton and said, 'nice song, eh' and clapton responded with 'i cant believe they still play this...' he didnt buy anything.

I was just at Saks 9/8 and saw Meryl Streep shopping on the 4th floor in jeans and a white shirt, looking very plain not that she s ever really done it for me. Oh, and she was with Patricia Fields. Weird.

Last night 9/7 at the US Open much talked-about Agassi Vs Blake match, Nicole Kidman herself decided to grace us plebeians at the Arthur Ashe Stadium with her magnificent present. She looked malevolent and happy as usual and was accompanied by an unidentified gentleman in a suit.

Last night (9/7) around 1am, I got on a 6 at Astor Place and 45 minutes later I got off at the same stop because some young hoodlums pulled out handguns on the train. Critical Mass doesn't draw this many cops. What made this all worthwhile was that during my 6 block walk to Union Square, I saw Drew Barrymore on 4th at 13th. She was stumblingalong, being supported by a tall, lanky guy in a sportcoat, laughing and having a good time. She was in an old man's button down (lookedlike Hollister) and ripped jeans. I am happy to report that while she doesn't look good in movies anymore, she is still attractive in person.

Waited in line behind Joan Allen today (9/8) at Jamba Juice, with her teenage daughter and a gaggle of friends. Tall, muscular, and extraordinarily dignified, even in running shorts and cheap sunglasses. Joan waited outside while her daughter ordered, talking with her friends about "how cool it would be if Mom was on Desperate Housewives."

I saw Christina Applegate coming out of a secondhand or consignment store on Broadway near 75th. It was Wednesday night around 7, I thought it was pretty close to curtain but turns out Sweet Charity only has a matinee on Wednesday. She was with another woman and a man, neither of whom I recognized. She's really pretty, not so made up in person as on television.

Saw Ellen Barkin on sept 8 getting her eyebrows threaded at shobha soho (broadway & prince). she was dressed drab in khaki capris & old sneakers. she was very friendly to the staff.

Friday, 9/9/05 at 8:15am: Just had the big gay pleasure of stalking Jake Gyllenhaal in SoHo where he was hanging out solo at Thompson Caf . The first time I passed by him he was sitting outside reading the newspaper and the second time I passed by he was inside engrossed in fingering his blackberry which offered me the opportunity to gaze longingly and lovingly undeterred and unarrested. He looked hot with his scruffy beard, light blue t-shirt, jeans and brown boots (obviously lifted from the Brokeback Mountain wardrobe trailer).

Around 3:00 p.m. today 9/8, I saw the Upper West Side's glam/grunge couple, Kevin Bacon & Kyra Sedgwick, walking down W. 89th St towards their CPW pad, making side-by-side cell phone calls. (Maybe they were talking to each other...that would be so 21st century!) He was hatless and glamorous, while she was hiding behind a baseball cap and shades.

Sat across from Elijah Wood accompanied by an attractive brunette on Air France flight 008 from Paris to New York last night 9/7. They were both dressed very grubbily, and looked like two college kids, which I think averted a lot of attention; it was only Frodo's piercing blue eyes, and first class seat, that gave him away. He and his girlfriend semed very much in love, and were quite cuddly on the plane. Not many people seemed to recognize him at CDG, or indeed on the customs line or waiting for his luggage at JFK, but he did get a warm reception at immigration, and was greeted by a driver holging a sign with his full name at the exit. Also on the flight was James Gandolfini, who I actually didn't notice until we were getting off the plane; he got more smiles and waves than Elijah.

7/8/05 1pm-ish at Whole Foods Union Square and hovering around the salad bar with a sorrowful look in her eyes was a very regular looking Leelee Sobieski. I almost thought she was some random old middle school classmate.

i was walking along west street (the highway) in the west village last night (wed 9/8), late for an apt viewing when this guy in a stretch tan hummer yelled out his window "hey gorgeous!" i looked back and it was 50 cent! he stuck his head out of the window and flashed me his crooked smile. it was late, so i dont know for certain, but he had that trademark black hat on. unfortunately, it wasnt my birthday.

Weds night 9/7- Just rode an elevator on West 57th Street with none other than LL Cool J. I was jaywalking across the street and trying to figure out why the green Range Rover was double parked out front. He looked good/normal, pink and white striped polo shirt, newspaper boy cap, bling bling earings. I pretended not to care while I furiously texted my friend. Would have preferred him more shirtless and oily like in his videos!

Saw Norah Jones on Wednesday night at Beth Lisick's book release party at Galapagos in Williamsburg. She was with the girl keyboard player in her band and was sitting at the bar wearing jeans, no make-up. They were having a great time, cracking up at Dynasty Handbag, that weird/trashy performance art lady who won the Miss L.E.S. Beauty Contest this year.

at Nobu last night... sat right next to Wilmer Valderamma and his group of friends... very cute, shorter than I thought. He was still working the chain wallet, though. Didn't those go out of style in the '90s?? We also saw lil Bow Wow who complimented my friend on her tattoos.

Saw Albert Hammond Jr. (The Strokes) and an attractive unidentified blonde woman crossing Avenue A yesterday (9/7). He had pink converse sneakers on and was typing something into his cell phone.
