The Slow Decline and Fall of the Old-Media Empire Continues Apace
What's another day in mediaville without a few more people quitting/resigning/being fired /getting laid off/fleeing? Today's two reports:
[Friday was] the last day for Graham Fuller, the Sunday A&E editor at the Daily News. His wife is one of the publishers at Interview magazine, I believe.
30 people set to be laid off today from Reed Business Information. Known: One already axed from Interior Design magazine. One 9-year vet just axed as well. Crying in elevator. Since Tad Smith was named CEO, reorganizations have been more than rumors. More to lose jobs with one week to pack up and get out.
More details, folks? Any scandale in Fuller's departure. (Seems there almost always is at the News.) Who else let go from Reed Business? Any sexy Variety names?
Enquiring minds want to know. And we do, too.
