A reader cringed at this unexpected overshare in today's Variety, nestled in a story about Shrek
director Victoria Jenson signing on to New Line's Four Christmases, a movie about a couple who must visit all four households of their divorced parents on one incredibly wacky Christmas Day:

"What better person to direct this than someone who's newly divorced?" Jenson told Daily Variety. "The story's right up my alley."

Jenson immediately regretted the brief window into her personal life, distractedly twisting up clumps of hair in her fingers as she continued, "Ugh, why did I say that? My therapist's told me a thousand times that I'm not defined by my failed relationships. And here I am not only living them out in the movies—hello, pain-recycling much?— but talking to a reporter about them. The tape recorder's running, huh? Well, um...Hey boys, I'm single! Call me!"
