In this whiskey-in-our-hot-chocolate edition of Gawker Stalker: Natalie Portman, Colin Farrell, Benicio del Toro, Live Schreiber and Winona Ryder, Naomi Campbell, Michael Moore, Anderson Cooper, Harvey Keitel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hank Azaria, Tony Parker, Axel Rose, Nicolette Sheridan, Glenn Close, Josh Lucas, Jenna Jameson, Rachel Dratch, Jessica Lange and Sam Shepard, Karolina Kurkova, Maer Roshan, Kate and Andy Spade, Mike Meyers, Lili Taylor, LeAnn Rimes, Chris Klein, David Alan Grier, Hope Davis, Joan Rivers, Ed Helms and Mya, Flava Flav, and bringing up the rear as always, Wayne Knight.

Saw Natalie Portman at vegan restaurant Heirloom on Orchard. She was tiny, which might explain why she seemed wasted after two organic cocktails. Perfect skin. With not-as-good-looking boyfriend and two other average looking people. Or maybe they were just average-looking because they were sitting next to NP. Moral of tale: do not hang out with movie stars if you want to look remotely cute.

Two Colin Farrell sightings: First, we were finishing brunch at the Four Seasons hotel and literally bumped into him getting off the elevator. He swaggered by us with a "yea, I'm the man" look. He looked like he needed a shower. Later, we ran into him again in the lobby of the hotel, this time coming from a workout looking even dirtier than before. Someone in the lobby asked him for a photo and he gave some smart-alecky comeback; no photo was procured.

Ran into Benico del Toro and female friend February 9th around 6:30pm inside Morrison Hotel Gallery as he was purchasing a Mick Rock photo of someone (didn't catch whom). He came into the tiny gallery with a huge cigar in his mouth, to which the gallery attendant quickly chirped "Sir, you can't smoke in here" but it wasn't even lit. He was quite large and funny, like most of the characters he plays in his films.

2/9: Spotted Liev Schreiber on my way into Von laughing with some dude outside. Kind of red but still total smoke. Later, inside, realized the girl he was chatting up at the front of the bar was Girl Interrupted While Stealing, Winona Ryder. Said a lot of "excuse me s and "sorry s as she slid by to go to the ladies' room. Smiled when we made eye contact. Seems sweet. Simple dark dress, hair pulled back. Aglow and sexy in person. They were with a big group but were joined at the hip all night. On my way out Liev accidentally kicked and nearly tripped me so I got to both cop a feel (rock-hard lower thigh) and take home my very own, grave, "Oh, I'm sorry!". 2 hot apologies on a school night. Personal best.

I saw Naomi Campbell in Virgin Megastore at Union Square on Saturday, around 2:30 pm. She and her stylist-looking guy friend (i.e., a guy who followed her around, made suggestions, and looked good albeit a bit over-styled himself) were hunched over near the "Cs." Naomi looked pretty, but wasn't the Amazon I'd expect; she had her hair long and straight with curls on the ends, and wore a white fur-trimmed poncho with a hood and had her jeans tucked into her boots. I confirmed it was her when I heard her voice as she was yelling to her friend over the freaking ridiculously loud music Virgin plays. "Sheryl Crow?!" he suggested/yelled. "At least the greatest hits!" she replied/yelled back. And then I realized I was being nosey, so I walked away. Tim Burton was there at the same time signing DVDs in the cafe....

Saw Michael Moore at the Saturday Spamalot matinee. Row D, on the left. He was clean-shaven and slightly better-dressed than when on camera (khakis, no cap), and stood in the aisle in an attention-seeking manner before, between, and after the two acts. He probably just showed up to hear his own name sung in He is Not Dead Yet..

Saw Anderson Cooper on AA flight 1293 from LGA to New Orleans Friday morning. Looking very casual and cute in a Schiller's Tee and jeans. He was sitting first class with the guy he was with bulkhead? producer? boyfriend? who was cute as well. The flight attendant was wasting her time batting her eyes and shamelessly flirting. Lost him before baggage claim.

Saw Harvey Keitel at a parking garage in Chelsea Saturday afternoon. He had tons of Paul Smith shopping bags with him He hunched over when my boyfriend noticed him in hopes he would not gush at him. He gave me a big smile when I passed him on the way to his Mercedes.

Today 2/9 at around 12:30pm, I saw Sarah Jessica Parker on 42nd street and sixth, across the street from Bryant Park. Not glam but still beautiful, short and tiny. Hair pulled back with massive black wrap around bug glasses, a blah coat with a fur-trimmed hood and what seemed to be a pair of slip on Merrill s. Was with an assistant type who shot me a nasty glare, maybe because I was gawking a little too hard.

Last night (2/9) at about midnight, saw Hank Azaria cuddling in a booth in Balthazar with a beautiful woman with shoulder-length blond hair. As we were standing outside the restaurant about half an hour later, Tony Parker (Eva Longoria's fianc ?) left with some friends, and stopped to sign an autograph for a guy smoking outside the restaurant. Parker was wearing a San Antonio Spurs leather jacket, but was looking very cute nonetheless.

Axl Rose came to the Spotted Pig w/ some pals about 1:30am last night. He ate a dozen oysters & 2 plates of gnudi. It was his birthday so everyone on the 2nd floor sang happy birthday to him. When it started to snow about 2:30am, he sang a song about snow. He held court & told funny stories till very late. [Ed: This strikes us as the least plausible Gawker Stalker ever, but we love Guns n' Roses and refuse to let the dream die.]

Thursday evening (2/9), I was walking to the subway after work and outside of the NBC studios as I spotted a small crowd of autograph seekers waving notebooks and pens (who must have been tourists, because who does that?) and a paparazzo snapping away. They were surrounding a tall woman with a high dyed blond ponytail who was obviously famous but had so much plastic surgery I couldn't make a positive id. Collagen-ed lips, stretched skin, and a general plastic appearance confused me. Melanie Griffith? Darryl Hannah? Finally it came to me: Nicolette Sheridan. Sure enough, a brief google search confirmed she was appearing on Conan that night.

Saw Glenn Close on Wednesday evening's performance of Roundabout Theater's revival of The Pajama Game. She was ninth-row center, on the aisle; sitting with whom I believe was her new husband, businessman David Shaw. Although recognized by the (heavily-gay) audience, she was mostly left alone, except for once when two tourists said hello. Close was playing grab-ass with her new hubby most of the time, reaching over, fondling his hair, grabbing his left arm, and giggling like a school-girl at what seemed to be private jokes being told in her head. This behavior was a bit distracting to audience members at times. Guess she's just madly in love (third time's a charmer, they say!). After the show, she disappeared, presumably back stage, and was seen leaving about 15 minutes later, by the regular exit doors.

Went to the Victoria s Secret Valentine s party last night at Show and it was packed with Bridge and Tunnelers. Blech. A lame band played featuring Rain Phoenix and a stripper was on a trapeze. I met Josh Lucas in the men s room (I m female) and he was hot with a lot of facial hair. I had far too much to drink to dull the pain of the lame party and couldn t help telling him how gorgeous he is and how beautiful he looks on screen (Did I really say that? I think so!) and he was so gracious and said thanks. Jenna Jameson was also there looking all 50s with a headband and backcombed hair. She is not as gorgeous as I thought she would be in person and really tiny. She actually looked much older than everyone else at the party. The scene inside the tents was lame, lame, lame.

Waiting for a table last night, February 11, at the East Village restaurant Supper was Rachel Dratch with three girlfriends in tow. Wearing a navy blue parka which seemed to swallow her small body whole, she drank beers at the bar till the host came to seat her and friends.

In Soho, spotted Jessica Lange and Sam Shepard on West Broadway; Karolina Kurkova walking past us as we tried in vain to seat our party of 12 at Cipriani's.

Last night (2/8) at Fifth and 10th, I was stumbling home from after work drinks and spotted the former head of now-defunct Radar, Maer Roshan. He was outside in the frigid cold chatting on his cell; upon spotting him I had an unexpected case of word vomit. I think I muttered, "Oh, I'm so sorry" or something to that effect...but I meant it in a now-maybe-you-can-do something-better sort of way, but I think he was confused. Sorry Maer!

I saw Kate & Andy Spade leaving their Park Avenue building this morning and get into a town car with their dog.
Saw Mike Meyers dining with a not-too-cute younger lady at Mary's Fish Camp last night. He was friendly to everyone who approached him. I feel as if he may wear a wig.

Last night I walked by Lili Taylor on Hudson Street near Bleecker. My friend from New Jersey said, "Oh, hey look, it's, um, like, who is she again?" So much for Lili Taylor. we had nice burgers at the white horse afterwards, though, despite all the straight dudes talking about sports with their girlfriends.

Saw LeAnn Rimes at the Stanton Social tonight (Tues). She was with 2 men; I think one was her husband. She was smaller in person than you would think was wearing lots of makeup, hair pulled back.

Chris Klein at Village on West 9th Street on Friday night. Really a pretty boring sighting, but what's there to say about him now that Katie Holmes has moved into the pop culture stratosphere and Chris is still doing crappy movies for 14 year olds? He was dressed all in black and made the requisite cell phone call from the table. His skin looked to be the color of processed white American cheese, but maybe it was just the lighting.

Saw David Alan Grier at the Peter Som afterparty at Peter Som s apt. He was with a little Asian woman wearing an odd fur jacket; he had a few drinks and left with her.

I saw Hope Davis walking down Sixth Avenue around 11th Street with two adorable kids in tow. She looked very downtown mom normal. She seemed nice and her baby was so cute.

Saw Joan Rivers today having lunch at Michael's. That woman looks like a Muppet. Seriously, nothing on her face looks real, including her hair.

Spotted Ed Helms and Mya going into a film script reading on 38th street.

I saw Flava Flav at Prada yesterday (2/9). I seriously thought he was a crackhead pimp until I saw his handler.

While grocery shopping at Wholefoods on Union Square yesterday (2.8.2006), who should I spy out of my wandering eye but an iPod-ed Newman! After controlling myself from shooting him a leery "Newman..." Seinfeld style, I went about my business, but Wayne Knight proved to be inescapable. I came face to face with him in the rice/risotto/couscous aisle (he was inspecting a can of olives, I a box of pad Thai), then also ran into him in the frozen food aisle. Overheard him talking to a stranger, he seemed really personable and easygoing.
