Heath Ledger can look forward to never again having to answer the "What's it like to pretend to be a gay cowboy?" question, as the query is soon to be replaced by its not-quite-as-titillating successor, the "What's it like to pretend to be a heroin junkie?" question:

Ledger, who had to avoid the summer sun while shooting the picture to keep his addict's pallor, said he and co-star Abbie Cornish visited a drug rehabilitation center as part of their research for the roles."(We) met with a gentleman who had been a junkie or an addict for 25 years and interviewed him," Ledger said.
The fearless and versatile actor can look forward to many future variations on the "What's it like to pretend to be..." question, including versions ending in "...a wheelchair-bound gangsta rapper?", "...a psychic Dutch pothead prostitute?", "...a graffiti artist with Tourette's?" and, ultimately, when he's ready for a real paycheck, "...Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean 5 co-star?"
