The tipster who panned Jeremy Liew (saying the AOL exec ruined the already dying Netscape brand) wasn't, of course, being fair. So Jeremy (pictured) took matters into his own hands, e-mailing his former Netscape reports and co-workers asking for positive comments on the post.

And thus many folks at Mercurial Communications, the company AOL contracted to build Netscape Navigator, started e-mailing in for comment accounts.

Well, folks, glad to let you in, and rest assured your input's welcome, and will be mocked just as everyone else on here. But some server issues are messing up comments today, so if your comment breaks, try again in a few hours.

And Jeremy Liew, feel free to e-mail nick@valleywag.com for an account of your own. Don't be shy, come play!
