On Tuesday, I stood face to face with Chloe Sevigny, selling all of the clothes she gets for free on consignment at Tokio 7. At first, I thought it would be cool to buy all her used up stuff, and keep it until she wins an Oscar in her late forties against a weak field. Then I thought about how, if I bought her clothes, I would be paying her for them, and how there is no way she needs the money, not with BIG LOVE being signed to a second season. I would be paying a millionaire (or a hundred-thousand-aire?) for clothes she didn't even pay for herself. Her head was much tinier than it appears on screen. I think they use CGI to blow it up to 150% its normal size. Has anyone been luckier than her? Right place, right time, early 90s. I'd like to see the rest of people who tried the same thing as her around that time—oh wait, I see them everyday, asleep on the street, in the same clothes they've had on for a decade, drinking Blackberry Brandy. Oh Chloe, if there's one thing I learned from you today, it's that you're grateful for all the good fortune that has been bestowed upon you; you're like the gambler who doesn't tip his dealer after hitting the jackpot. I still love you though, in all your freakish sexy homeliness and odd tone of voice. Take that extra cash you make and treat yourself to something nice, you deserve it.

That was indeed Eva Longoria along with, what appeared to be, a "best" friend (gay, sycophant) brunching at Sara Beth's Kitchen on 90th and Madison. She grabbed a fist full of homemade jam "for the girls", and I heard her mention "the bitch"—presumably Teri, and how "the bitch can't stop talking about herself, and after 18 hours a day, I want to swallow cyanide." She looked tiny, and wore bright red lipstick, black spiked boots, and looked, well, strange....

Sitting outside at Noho Star Tuesday lunchtime I saw Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts crossing Lafayette towards Bleeker but not at the same time—I guess they must live round there. Naomi looking suitably dressed down to avoid recognition...still cute as hell.

Ed Norton buying a slice of pizza at the Springsteen rehearsal show at convention hall in Asbury Park at 9:30....he was mixing in with the general admission standing room crowd....looked to be in American History X mode with the goatee and very short haircut....taller than I expected......he was with a male friend and both had passes around their necks.....he had the pizza lady asking loudly "what's your name, what's your name?!"

When getting on the escalator at the Union Square Regal Cinemas I stood next to Julia Roberts being snuggled, and slightly concealed by her husband. It seems they saw the same movie I did—Friends With Money. She was rather petite and looked to be happy to enjoy the night off from her B'way play, with her obviously adoring hubby.

I saw Adrien Brody walking around by himself at 13th and 7th avenue at 11:00am.

The skip himself, James Gandolfini, eating with a group of 8 or so friends/family at Piccolo Angelo in the village tonight (4/25) around 7:30pm. We were a party of 6 and only my girlfriend and I noticed Tony Soprano out of our group despite him standing in plain view of the rest of our table for a few minutes while they ran his credit card. Maybe the goatee threw them off but he was hard to miss. After signing for the charge he said "see you next week" and was on his way. How apropos for Tony Soprano to be eating in a totally unassuming little Italian restaurant. (btw, the food is amazing)

Saw Beyonce at 12:30pm in H&M in 59th and Lexington. She was with her sister Solange and mother Tina. Looked like they were having a lot of fun with many H&M bags in hands. She's very pretty and tiny in person.

Hi. Just saw a luscious Thandie Newton come out of Trunkt in Tribeca. She was carrying 2 bright pink shopping bags and looked incredibly caf con leche. Yum.

Saw Noah Baumbach on Monday, nodding off in the Olympus Theater at Loewe's Cinema on 68th and Broadway at a screening for "An Inconvenient Truth" with a discussion with Al Gore to follow. He was holding a press packet for RV, and was awoken a few minutes before the start to be informed that the RV screening was in another room. I don't know, I found it funny.

I've had a few celeb sightings recently and they've all occurred at this restaurant (Josephina) which is across the street from my apartment. About a week ago I saw Bruce Willis sitting at the bar, trying to look very incognito. Then I noticed a tiny woman in a newsboy cap sitting at a backroom table - it was Eva Longoria. I didn't even notice her until Robert Verdi walked through the door and sat down next to her. Then, a few tables away, I noticed James Marsden (X-Men) with his family. He is incredibly hot! I was sitting at the bar a few weeks ago for a late brunch drink when a smiley, happy, uber-friendly Adam Sandler strolled through the door. His happy face made my hangover disappear.

My daughter was staying at the Mercer on business for 2 days and saw Mandy Moore meeting her trainer in the lobby around 10:00 am both days, Jeff Goldblum around 9:00 am, Gabriel Byrne having coffee with 2 other people, Kylie Minogue having breakfast and looking pretty good, considering she's a recent cancer survivor. Her most thrilling sighting was George Clooney as he walked through the lobby.

I just saw Paul Giamatti outside of the subway station on 42nd and 7th. He looked like he was waiting for someone and he had just woken up.

I was eating lunch at Otto around 2pm on Monday and noticed everyone was being seated in the front hallway-type dining room, as if they were intentionally not using the back of the restaurant, I first attributed this to the slow day, until I realized someone was having a very private luncheon in the back. Who would've guessed that it was Mario's iconoclast mutual man-crush Michael Stipe dining with friends? I thought first about whether or not there was a secret "Michael Stipe backdoor" he would use to leave the restaurant, but he walked by us as I hummed "What's the Frequency Kenneth?" to myself. He went into the bathroom on the way out. They're just like us! I wonder what has a better chance of happening: Mario getting Michael to eat meat, or Michael getting Mario to drop 150 lbs. so that he is only double Michael's weight. Less cushion for the pushin', but Mike might be able to fit his arms around him when they share them vespa rides! After spotting Michael Stipe, my radar was hot, and I spotted Matthew Modine riding a bike near NYU without a helmet. Don't worry—his giant, perfect hair would save him from any further brain injury. He was doing that whole, "stand up on my bike pedals thing while waiting for the light to turn green" thing. He was easily nineteen feet tall standing atop his bike. I'm confident he doesn't even have to ride his bike down that street but does so just so he can scope out the NYU babes and remember his glory days from "Married to the Mob". I hate people who don't wear helmets and ride bikes in NYC, they're like sluts who don't use protection. It's only a matter of time.

I stopped at the Dean & Deluca cafe in the Time Warner Center Borders last night at around 7:30 to grab a sandwich. There was one guy in front of me in line at the register, and as I approached I began to smell a pretty disgusting BO. I looked at the guy in front of me to determine source of the odor was and, lo-and-behold, it was Robin Williams. Can't he afford to take a shower?

Saw Kevin Bacon walking south on 7th Ave at 10:30 am. Taller than I expected, very skinny, scruffy beard. He was carrying a large guitar case. Wearing a white baseball cap, aviator glasses, and a long black jacket. Never really thought so before, but he's kind of sexy. Does this mean we're only separated by one degree now?

I saw Andy Garcia last night (4/25) at 7:30pm on 42nd Street. He was supposed to be going in to BB Kings for some special, weird performance, but he mistakenly walked in to the American Airlines theater where The Pajama Game is playing. A woman was yelling after him trying to get his attention because he was going in the wrong building!

4/25-I saw Jared Leto and possible bandmate walking up 8th avenue around 42nd street. He was back to normal weight and wearing a knit hat and was amazingly hot. I was just coming from free cone day at Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Jared Leto can't get much better.

11:00 am, 14th Street and 6th Ave. I spotted a towering Uma Thurman sans make-up yapping loudly on her hands-free cell heading to the Clay gym. She looks older than I imagined.

Just saw Ralph Fiennes (well...at 11am) on the corner of Crosby St. and Spring St. He was walking downtown on Crosby, wearing some gray track suit/work out suit thing, with a florescent orange yoga mat bag slung over his shoulder. Not sure if he was walking to or from yoga. In movies: totally hot. In real life: facial hair.

Elton John, Jon Bon Jovi, and Rob Thomas all entering the Lestat premier party at Time Warner in Columbus Circle, Tuesday April 25th at 10 pm. Elton's earrings were fabulous, Rob was even more gorgeous in person, and you would never know JBJ was from Jersey.

Yesterday 4/25 at about 5 pm I spotted Amy Poehler on 49th and 5th avenue. She looked kinda tired, was very tiny, and was carrying shopping bags from Sephora and Saks, as well as a beautiful Marc Jacobs black quilted handbag. I walked behind her down 49th (my regular route to the subway! Not stalking!) towards 6th, but she didn't go into the NBC studios... guess rehearsal had been earlier.

About 1:30 pm, 4/25. Walking down Pine Street after grabbing lunch, I saw Anderson Cooper at the corner of Pine and William shooting something that must have been for print (not TV - a magazine spread? CNN print promo?), surrounded by a small group of photographer/ production types (~10 people). He was having to stride purposefully down the sidewalk until the photog took his shot (with a huge flash), then turn around and walk back, again and again. He was wearing a black or navy blazer, blue button-down shirt and jeans - your typical Anderson Cooper outfit. He's shorter and more slight than you might think, although his blue eyes are very striking even from a distance of 10 feet. I think he may have gestured for some passersby to move along as they stopped to gawk...

Just had lunch next to Holly Hunter at Caf Habana, on the corner of Elizabeth and Prince. She was looking au natural in a very modest outfit having lunch with a no name brunette.

Saw Ed Burns on my way home from work last night (4.24) walking south on Varick, at the corner of Houston. Rocking a turtleneck, blazer, and jeans, chatting it up on his cell (perhaps it was Christy?) Quite a nice way to end my Monday, I have to say.

About an hour ago, spotted Daria Werbowy walking east on 18th & Broadway. Cute girl, but wearing super-baggy, old 501s & ratty, layered shirts that made her look like a hobo... well, as much as a model can look like a hobo.

Mario Cantone on 14th st b/t 6th and 7th aves, right now, leaning against the building talking to some ugly 'mo.

How many Baldwin brothers can you fit in a Starbucks? At the moment—Tuesday, 2:15pm, 93rd and Broadway—two. There's Alec, looking dapper in hunky black glasses and prattling on about Republicans. And there's Stephen, looking puffy and laughing a bit too hard at big brother's George Allen rant. ("Good one, Alec! Can I sleep on your couch?")

A bearded Jimmy Fallon strolling south on Park Ave sporting a black adidias jumpsuit circa 1985 Jam Master Jay.
Spotted Fran Drescher yesterday, 4/24 at 6pm outside O'Neal's Restaurant on W.64th street btw. CPW & Broadway; the Saturday before that I spotted her on the corner of W.64th & Broadway walking her dog in a sweat suit (she was in sweats, not the dog).

Saw Adam Duritz last at Jewel Bako on 5th st. b/w 2nd and 3rd with a pretty blonde (she seemed young). They looked as though they were enjoying themselves. Sake and sushi, of course. He was delighting her with stories about an accident of some sort (bike? car?). She, whoever she was, had to be up early today for a shoot.

I saw Miuccia Prada at the Whitney Museum accompanied by an elegant young Italian man. She looked so good in person, surprisingly, had nice smoooth skin (she usually looks old and beat in photos) very tan. She was wearing a Prada puffy skirt and sporty anorak style black top. Had the amazing black platforms I've been wanting on. Nice thin legs. Small bag. Her nose looked smaller than in every photo I've seen before. She checked out my vintage leather bag, then I caught her checking me out a bunch of times as well.

Around 3:45 PM saw Puffy walking from his apt to the Bad Boy Offices on 53rd and Broadway. Stopped in front of Serafina to chat with a guy in a red sweat suit. Couldn't see who the guy was but there where hugs all around.

Caroline Kennedy leaving the Rent 10th Anniversary Party at Cipriani 42nd Street, posing for photos for fans and then jumping into a cab. Matthew Broderick and SJP escaping through a side door as everyone focus their attention on Frenchie Davis leaving through the front door. They were both quite amused and laughing.

Saw Alan Cumming eating at Via Delle Zoccolette on the corner of Avenue A and 6th St. Still sporting a mowhawk.

Rue McClanahan is alive. And drinking coffee. Saw her at Starbucks on Varick and Spring 'round 4 pm today (4/25). She looked old, and was in need of a bathroom. (Oh Rue! At Starbucks?) Her daughter pointed her in the right direction. "The bathroom is over there, mom."

Last night, Monday 24th, Janice Dickinson was at the Cock. She was there early, around 1am and then left. She was dancing by the bar and tried to make her own private VIP room behind the dj. as if.

Eric McCormack from Will and Grace seen at Off-Broadway show "Entertaining Mr. Sloane" on April 22nd on West 46th. Looking very tanorexic and seemed annoyed that I noticed him.

Jay-Z emerging from his white stretch limo (stars still use those?!) on Sunday morning April 23rd to get a paper from a deli on W. 60th and Columbus. Looked incredibly average in a north face jacket and a Harvard baseball cap. Those lips gave him away.

I saw Q-Tip today in Tekserve on 23rd Street 7:45/8:00. Don't know what he bought exactly but he carried out a large box.

Saw Cindy Lauper walking up Orchard btw. Stanton and Houston with a couple friends. She and her friends stopped in front of that kind of S&M store on the east side of the street and Cindy commented on one of the whips or 3 headed dildos that "that looks like it would kind of hurt," in her trademark voice.

Conan O'Brien was very apologetic after he almost flattened me tonight as he walked out of NBC...partially my fault because I was listening to my iPod and didn't hear the cadence of his enormous stride. I only stand 5'4", but the guy is ridiculously tall - he absolutely towered over me. He was in a dark suit with a silver garment bag slung over his shoulder crossing the street toward Christie's.

Last night I caught Matthew and SJP leaving the RENT 10th Anniversary show. Looks like my favorite New Yorker's are serious about the environment and saving gas—they came and left in a baby blue Toyota Prius hybrid-electric car. Plus looks like one of them likes to listen to Sirius satelitte radio as a brochure regarding the service was tucked in the backseat pocket, maybe their a listener to that other great New Yorker, Howard Stern.

Michael McKean and Annette O'Toole on the corner of 42nd street and 8th Ave around 7pm. Looked just like a nice regular couple then I was like my god that's like the actor from a bunch of my favorite movies and went to IMDB "A Mighty Wind" cause I couldn't think of his name.

Just saw Neve Campbell on Franklin St. and West Broadway.

I didn't know they made limos as long as the one that spat out Howard Stern, wearing white cargo mc hammer pants. H-O-T.

Saw Eddie Kaye Thomas (aka Finch/Shitbreak from American Pie) walking down 8th Avenue between 50th & 49th with a young blonde woman at 2:15pm today.

Former Giants QB Phil Simms looking sharp in a suit walking hurriedly down 51st between 6th and 7th aves (the back of the Time Life Building). Looked at me and smiled when I called his name and told him he was "#1."

At about 6:30 PM, Washington Street at Horatio Street, Corey Feldman (Lost Boys) standing outside, getting a grocery delivery from Dagastinos. How does he still make enough money to afford to live in a luxury building in this neighborhood???

Loren Kreiss, San Loco LES! Midnight, Monday eve (or Tuesday morn). Hilarious. Not where I'd have expected to see him. We chatted for a bit - he's a nice kid, with two also-nice girls. San Loco, the gift that keeps on giving. Funny.
