There's a certain human need to share stories of life-transforming experiences — Where were you on Sept. 11? — and so, unsurprisingly, readers have been today been emailing in their tales of attending Anderson's reading last night. Above, the photographic submission from one reader of Coopie in action. And here, a city high-school teacher who awards extra-credit points to students who attend readings and report on them sends along one student's take:

"Many of the people who went to listen to him speak were old and smelled like body odor. They kept laughing at what he said even though he wasn't really all that funny. People were standing around talking about how cute he was. He was a middle aged white man with white hair who kind of resembled Bill Clinton. It was not very interesting because he was basically rambling on and most of us were standing"

For the record, we'd laught at Anderson, too, even if he wasn't really all that funny.

After the jump, another shot of Anderson at work.
