The opening of Macbeth last night in the park was undoubtedly the most star-studded NYC opening I've been to in a while. So many stars my poor little brain almost could not compute!! First and foremost—the great one—President Clinton himself came for the show (not the benefit beforehand). He was wearing a tan summer suit (jacket off, it was sweltering) with white shirt and BRIGHT orange solid color tie. Very red-faced but totally magnetic, as always, eating up the enormous amount of attention he was getting from fellow spectators. He was there with Chelsea (who looked thin) and her boyfriend (couldn't stop looking at bill long enough to notice what he looked like). The mayor was also there with his girlfriend Diana Taylor—both looked chic, tan, and happy. They left at intermission, though, while the president stayed for the whole thing. So many other celebs there. Tom Hanks in black baseball cap, black polo shirt, and black jeans, looking taller and bigger than i expected, but totally unaffected and nice-seeming. Steve Martin, dapper in a white-ish linen suit and sunglasses, came alone, was chatting a lot with Tom Hanks. Meryl Streep & Kevin Kline were the honorees at the benefit—Streep was beautiful and friendly with no makeup and glasses, and Kline was extremely handsome in a light blue suit. They gave a very funny joint speech. Naomi Watts was there to support her boyfriend Liev Schreiber (who plays Macbeth)—she is TINY, a total slip of a woman. Would not take off her sweater despite the sweltering heat. Juliana Margulies was there looking stylish but overly made up in a black top and white pinstripe pants, hair pulled back, with a good looking model-y type guy. Marisa Tomei in a cute bohemian type dress with bubble hem and sky high Christian Louboutin heels. Candace Bergen and Ali Macgraw came together—Bergen looked radiant all in white, Macgraw came with her daughter. Philip Seymour Hoffman was there, looking unaffected and just like a regular guy. Diane Sawyer and Mike Nichols made an appearance—she was extremely tall and her skin had none of the smooth natural sheen it does on television, I guess makeup really does wonders for her.

Last night (Wednesday, June 28th), I plus-oned my way into the opening night and consequent party for Macbeth in Central Park. Hot, sweaty, and not too pleased about it (they're just like us!) were Rosie Perez, Rachel Weisz and Darren Aronofsky, Julianna Marguiles, Cynthia Nixon, Sam Rockwell, James Cromwell, Meryl Streep, Ethan Hawke with a major step down from Uma on his arm, Naomi Watts, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Chelsea Clinton, and Bill Clinton, who stood and graciously received everyone who came down to meet him. It was bittersweet, to remember a president who could navigate a sentence.

I was sitting at sushi bar at Lure and spotted tsunami poster girl Petra Nemcova. She was with an older dude who my friend says was Ron Burkle. Also, Austin Powers aka Mike Meyers was chillin out in the opposite corner.

I went to the Vonage party and saw Liv Tyler, a very pregnant Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard, Freddie Prinze sans Sarah Michelle Gellar, and then I saw Tyson Beckford who stayed on/hogged the Red Carpet so long that Mandy Moore skipped the whole thing all together and just went inside the party. Then when Tyson finally got off the Red Carpet, he begged the publicist for his cool belt, telling the guy, "You must get a lot of chicks with the cool belt!" At which point the guy with the cool belt said, "I am not after any girls." "Oh," Tyson said, "I still want the belt." Tyson promised him a ride on his motorcycle for the belt, at which point the Publicist said OK here's my number, if you still want my belt tomorrow, call me and we will talk. Lots of back slapping, then a hug and finally Tyson went inside.

Saw Heather Graham walking up Park Avenue at 20th street, dressed up like she was going out and with a friend. We're talking an eleven out of ten, here.

Was at El Bocadito at around 8 on Orchard btw Grand and Broome when Mike Meyers in a white shirt came in and met with a female and male. Sat with his back turned to the place the whole night. Passed by again at 10 and he was still there. Looks exactly like he does on TV.

I had dinner across from Kate Bosworth and Orlando Bloom tonight at Kittichai. He was looking his hot scruffy "take me to bed or lose me forever" self. She looked like a plastic doll.

Bijou Phillips was in the Washington Square small dog run around 7pm tonight. She was with a friend, and had a little long haired Chihuahua with her. She's really pretty and young looking in person and her hair is long; they were both so sweet and friendly and talked to everyone. I took a picture as they left.

There was a nice showing of peeps at the Madonna show Wednesday night, namely a bandana-wearing Rosie O'Donnell.

Tuesday, 6/27, 11:30am, saw West Village beefcake Rupert Everett sitting on a bench outside the Cowgirl Hall of Fame, shirtless and wolfing down a sandwich. He was very hungry.

Saw Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell at the evening performance of "Jersey Boys" last night. She wore big hoop earrings and a baseball cap. They snuck in after the curtain went up on the second act and left before the performance ended. Football player Peyton Manning was there, too.

Saw Bjork, bf Matthew Barney and their adorable blonde daughter walked west on 14th street at 8th Ave carrying loads of Balducci's shopping bags.

Superman Brandon Routh was at The Color Purple tonight and he is hot. I would have thought he was still an obscure star, but a lot of girls in the audience recognized him and so did a few boys like me.

I saw Star Jones at la Goulue...she was at an outside table, wearing that stupid pink outfit and big sunglasses. Was with two other black women and was just giving her order to the waiter....this was at 1pm today....I wasn't sure it was even her because she looked more alien in person than I even thought possible.

Just saw Lauren Bacall leave Sardi's—she waited patiently for a black sedan. Looked good for her age, would not take any pics but did sign autographs for 2 people standing outside. Was with a younger male, maybe her son?

Just saw Keri Russell walking on 9th street between 5th and 6th avenue. She looked mad and does not look like she does on TV or in magazines.

I'm embarrassed to say I'm at 40/40 right now and a very preggers Lizzie Grubman is here. I'm must say she looks amazing! Pregnancy has definitely done her good; she looks better than before she was pregnant!

Jennifer Connelly walking with her younger son on Prospect Park West in Park Slope at 1:00AM.

Just saw Paul Rudd walking by Juniors on 45th near Broadway. He's a very handsome young man!!

Yesterday 6/27 saw Michelle Williams, baby Matilda and a non-descript woman get on the Brooklyn bound F at 23rd street. She was wearing red shorts, flip flops and seemed to be struggling under the weight of Matilda (she is soooooo tiny). Nobody paid her any attention.

Last night, David Cross was at laughable hype at pianos. Full beard, baseball cap, totally short (big surprise.) Laughed a LOT at Daniel Kitson, a British comedian who wasn't listed on the bill and went on last.

This morning, on my way to work, I made eyes at Heath Ledger idling on a verrrrry loud motorcycle on Bergen st b/t 3rd ave and Nevins in Brooklyn. He was wearing a helmet, but one of those "this won't save anything" helmets.

Familiar to all Buffy fanatics—ran across loveable Seth Green on 6th Avenue by the diamond district yesterday. Not as wee as everyone claims, red hair intact. Walking with unidentified normal looking woman who was whispering into his ear as he fiddled with his cell and looked slightly preoccupied. Love him!

Saw Lindsay Lohan on Friday Night at a deli in Tribeca. She looked like a trashy Long Island teenager with great hair. Which she is. LL was with a shrewy assistant who kept glaring at me to keep away. But I couldn't cause they were at the check out counter perusing the disposable lighters. When I checked out they had already set aside about a dozen to buy and were debating which others to add. There's a firecrotch joke in there somewhere if only those were still funny.

Saw Jason Bateman filming reshoots for an upcoming movie outside of a Chelsea gallery. For the shot, he had casts on both his legs and was dragging himself up the gallery stairs as people walked by without helping. Very funny scene. Looks like it's supposed to take place in Spain, since the gallery doors had been re-decorated with signs in Spanish and there was a Vespa outside between two Euro-looking cars.

I saw Elizabeth Berkley at Crunch Gym in Soho on Saturday. She looked stunning and really fit. Funny thing is, I saw her yesterday again at a small French Restaurant on West Houston Street, with what appears to be, her husband.

Saw the Devil herself, Anna Wintour, on the Wednesday of one of her worst weeks (it's not every day that a movie comes out about what a bitch you are). Looking perfect in a stunning (Prada?) trench, perfect hair since she was leaving the elevator from the Stephen Knoll salon. She could have been giving us an icy stare....but she had those damn big sunglasses on.

Just saw Jon Stewart on the corner of 17th and 8th hailing a cab. Probably on his way to work. Looks like he just rolled out of bed. Still the coolest guy on cable.

Spotted Iman and Alan Cumming at the Slipper Room last night on Orchard and Stanton at the benefit for Woodshed's Blood Wedding show this summer. They were hanging out and being generally fabulous.

Just saw Paula Abdul walking into the Lincoln Building on 42nd Street. She was taking pictures with the tourists and kissing everyone on the head.

Saw beautiful blue-eyed Scott Foley walking east through Washington Square Park on his cell phone looking like he was in a hurry. Then walked past Will Smith, Jada and Chris Rock. Looks like they are shooting a movie in APT on W 13th Street. Chris Rock looks a whole lot smaller in person. Will has a ginormous smile.

I just went to have lunch at the whole foods in Columbus Circle and when I walked out, I saw Kelly Ripa walking by the Hugo boss store pushing a baby a stroller. She was wearing grey tights and a white t-shirt, her hair was up in a pony tail. She is really short.

I just saw at 2AM Thursday Janice Dickenson walking down 9th Ave At 47th. She looks like she has had a lot of plastic surgery. She doesn't look very well, must have been all those decades of drugs. She seemed to be wobbling a bit and a little high.

Jamie Lee Curtis walking into Barney's Coop Soho, forgetting to say thank you to three Japanese tourists who held the door for her...

I saw Alan Alda having lunch at Nick and Toni's on 67th today, looking totally adorable. Maybe he was meeting with people from ABC. The other diners were playing it cool, but as soon as he left the restaurant, everyone ran over to the window to watch him get into a cab.

On my way to dinner in Meatpacking last night (6/26), my friend and I walked right by Kerry Washington. She was very petite and absolutely stunning. Much prettier in person than on film. Even better (for me) was having 180 degrees of eye contact with 'Little Steven' Van Zandt, who was having dinner on the patio of Pastis. Coming from a true Jersey girl and lifelong Springsteen fan, the highlight of my week was having him watch me walk as I walked by.

John Waters at 151 West 26th for casting of Crybaby the musical.

Doris Roberts (from Everyone Loves Raymond) was seen at the Russian Samovar restaurant on 52nd St. (between 8th and Broadway) on June 28. She wore a very large pair of dark glasses, even though the restaurant was dark. Probably did not want to be recognized. She had dinner with a gentleman... they had black caviar and vodka and champagne. After dinner, they took a pedicab off into the wee hours.

Spotted Dr. Ruth at Alex Epstein's book party on June 28th. She guaranteed that the first three people to buy books will have "great sex for the rest of your lives."
