Ann Coulter at the Radio City Bob Weir & Ratdog concert and After Party until past 3am. Who would have thought the Conservative Queen was a Dead Head?

I spotted Uma Thurman rounding the corner from 6th Ave [Northbound] onto W. 9th Street at about 7:00 PM. I was sitting on the 9th street side of the steps of an old store (Greenmarket?) just finishing up some dinner, about to stand up, when around the corner she comes, makes eye contact with me while talking [loudly] on her cell phone. I was heading in her same direction but decided to hang back in case she thought I was stalking. A-hem. But she continued babbling loudly and I heard her say..."Yes, a reservation for about 6 or 7 in 45 minutes?" Then another call..."Hi, this is UMA THURMAN....UMA...THURMAN...I'm fine, thank you how are you?" In that very distinguished, seductive voice, you know. By this point however, she was walking way too slowly for me and I had to pass her. I did notice a few other people staring at her as they walked by...she is not as tall as everyone makes her out to be, but certainly has long legs and is quite trim, and surprisingly has a nice jiggly ass in semi tight tan capri pants, what a Gorgeous creature.

Saw Keanu Reeves at the play "History Boys" (Broadhurst Theatre, Broadway & 8th. 3pm matinee, 16th of July). During the break he was trying to hide behind the coffee machine, but once discovered he patiently signed autographs. Was with 2 women, of which one around her sixties, but was definitely not his mum. When leaving the theater, he got in a black SUV that was ready and waiting. Looked like he had not shaved in days and has def. put on weight since The Matrix.

I saw Luke Wilson tonight at 8pm while I was eating dinner at Craft (east 19th). He was with a man and woman, and looking rather adorable.

Saw Scarlett Johansson at Stereo Tuesday night, about 2 a.m. Was with two other female friends at a table in the VIP. Looked more petite than I would've guessed. Her hair was up in a high pony-tail. Wearing some sort of cream dress/frock. Was denying any requests for pictures probably because she isn't even 21.

Noticed Morgan Freeman milling outside the Ed Sullivan Theater at 3pm, Friday and was surprised no one was gawking at him. Then I realized they were all gawking at Rupert the deli guy instead! C'mon people, it's Morgan Freeman standing right behind you! He seemed very cool and had a nice bounce to his step.

Just saw Anne Hathaway crossing Broadway at Prince Street in Soho talking on her cell phone and bumping into people. She had a dark blue summery dress on.

I was extremely irritable walking into the new 5th ave. Apple store today and immediately took my anger out on a random guy. He had his back to me and was blaring a Bose iPod speaker as loud as it could possibly go. I walked up behind and bitched, "Excuse me sir, you're not the only one in the store. Will you please turn that down?" I walked away to look at some things, and when I turned around, the guy was facing me. It was no other than Leonardo DiCaprio. I only wished I had an iPod handy with a little "Titanic" on it.

Alec Baldwin, Jul 14 7.30pm at BLT Fish in West 17th Street. Wearing a very suave jacket and was with a blonde women who I didn't recognize.

Saw Martha Plimpton coming out of the 2 train at 72nd street. She was wearing a lime green top, with short hair and nifty sunglasses to filter out the gawking Goonies fanatics.

Sarah Michelle Gellar on July 13th outside The Plumm in the West Village sneaking a cigarette with a couple of her friends. Looking all decked out in a nice black dress.

I saw Jay-Z and Beyonce getting into their Maybach after partying at Jay-Z's 40-40 club. They both looked so happy together. By the way they were doing some sort of MTV filming in 40-40.

I met William H. Macy after a screening of Edmond at the Quad Cinema Saturday night. He was there after the 8:10 show. He stopped to chat, take pictures, and shake hands. I'm a huge fan and embarrassed myself a little while we talked, but he was so nice. He's taller in person and really sexy. Hottt, in fact. Bai Ling and Stuart Gordon were also at the screening. Ms. Ling is stunning in person.

Haven't been online lately, but wanted to let you know that last Weds. night I was at the Spotted Pig (groan - I know) and spotted Jim Carroll from "The Office" desperately trying to be seen. However, upon seeing him in person and stalking him for an hour, I am now certain that he should be my boyfriend. Can you arrange that? He is f-ing hot, in that non-assuming normal kind of way. Also saw Jamie Lynn Sigler stroll in and hang around the door for a while. So boring. She had on a white babydoll dress and is of course, totally pretty, ridiculously skinny, and resembles a Barbie doll.

Pearl Oyster Bar, Friday night I saw Maura Tierny and Julia Stiles, though not together. Both are incredibly beautiful: Tierny tiny with delicate features and sparkling eyes. Mama Omen has a deep, deep voice and although she has that blonde patrician look (re: snooty) she was actually quite friendly.

Saw Amy Adams and James Marsden walking together Sunday around 6:30pm. South on Broadway just north of Lincoln Center. She has great skin. He's giggly.

Sunday 1 PM - Linda Evangelista at brunch at gusto restaurant. She had short blonde slicked back hair, a black dress on and clearly pregnant.

I was at The Modern (the bar/lounge section since the formal restaurant is closed for lunch on Sat) and Jeremy Sisto (crazy Billy from 6' Under) walked in with a couple of friends. He refused the table next to mine. I'm not sure what scared him more; my 75 year old mother (yes, I took momma to MOMA) or my leering at his tight jeans. Also, was surprised to see Jeffrey Wright on 42nd st near Third Ave. He looked good with a shaved head and camo cargo pants but why would he be in the celebrity wasteland known as east midtown?

Saw Julianne Moore in West Elm in Chelsea on Sunday (7/16). She was wearing a blue oxford and no makeup but looked beautiful anyway.

At Tribeca Grill on Friday night (7/17), Freddie Prince Jr. was sitting alone outside eating a steak and reading a script. Later that night, Gavin Degraw was at Terra Blues.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson with two of their children at You, Me, and Dupree on 86th between 2nd and 3rd. Tom looked buff and graciously signed autographed for excited fans as he waited for Rita to make it through the bathroom line.

Saw Paris Hilton coming out of Marquee at around 1 am Wed July 12...so much prettier in person. Also at Marquee were the Wayans brothers (Shawn and Keenan Ivory)...also saw them at Plumm earlier in the night.

Saw Mandy Moore at Bubby's in Tribeca on Sunday 7/16 for brunch, looking slightly bothered. My boyfriend thinks she isn't as cute in person. I think she has great skin.

I saw Rob Corddry (the Daily show) yesterday (the 16th) storming down Atlantic Ave. by Smith St—pretty big guy in a Hollister-type outfit (well maybe the shirt was vintage or something) of a t-shirt and khaki shorts. His face seemed to be contorted in rage, or possibly indigestion.

Saturday 10PM Ed Helms of the Daily Show walking around Ave B and 11th St with a cute girl. Cuter than a goofy looking guy like him can normally get, but not cute enough for somebody of his comedic stature.

Saw McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey, walking past August on W. 10 and Charles around 8pm... Wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap, despite the lack of sunlight. How Hollywood of him.

Saw Ursula the Sea Witch (a/k/a Star Jones) Wednesday night at the Chelsea Piers Bowling Alley. Totally random sighting, but I guess that's what happens now that she's got no job and ain't got shit to do. She looked like an alien.

I was on the phone outside of the Barneys Coop in Chelsea around 5:30 when a very little man with dark hair came walking by me. It was Mario Cantone. He was alone and I couldn't help but feel I was getting glances from him. Gravity appears to be tugging relentlessly on his eyes.

Currently intermission at the brilliant "History Boys" and Kerry Washington of "Ray" fame is here. Absolutely stunning... accompanied by a doofy guy in a straw hat ... possibly boyfriend?

Saw Martha Stewart picking up her baggage at JFK Airport having just arrived at terminal 1 from Paris around 8pm on Wednesday, July 12th. A security guard budged her in front of a relatively short line to get her through customs. She looked awful, face like leather that had been soaking wet and left in the sun to dry. Not so much as a 'thank you' from her, any of her entourage, or security for letting her cut in front of us.

I walked by Wes Anderson sitting at Venieros at 6.45PM having coffee with a friend on July 13th. Ps: it's 80 degrees out and he's wearing the same jacket he wore in the American express commercial.

Phil Collins at Ouest last night, 6:30 PM. Likes his martinis with 3 olives, dinner with 3 ladies and a mysterious hunky blonde guy. Phil was sporting a black scarf around his neck, shades, and a very short haircut.

Saw Elijah Wood on the Brooklyn-bound F July 13 around 6:30 p.m. He's taller than I thought he would be, and he fit in pretty well among all the hipsters and college kids heading off to the Yo La Tengo concert in Prospect Park.

Saw His Royal Puffiness hanging out on the sidewalk in front of Birdland last night (7/13). Diddy and his crew were all singing along with the tunes coming from his VERY fly Bentley.

I saw John Legend coming out of the G-spa at 2 am last night holding hands with a hot brunette Latin model type in a white mini dress. The two got in his SUV together with what I assumed to be his body guard and a third male.

Michael Imperioli at Landmarc in Tribeca, Sunday night around 7:30, with one man and two women. Shorter than expected and lots of grey in his hair. My dad spotted him, but no one else seemed to notice. He was having a drink in a corner waiting for a table.

Steve Buscemi and Rosie Perez were at the Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn. They both spoke out at the Develop Don't Destroy Rally against Ratner's plans for the Atlantic Yards. It's good to see Brooklyn natives standing up for their community!!

Passed right by Sarah Thompson on the 1st floor escalator at MoMa. She was with her mother and almost identically-dressed younger sister wearing a white tank top, shorts, and sandals. I thought she might be a high schooler until she saw me staring. Hope 7th Heaven isn't the highlight of her career.

Sunday 7/16 at the Klimt exhibit in the Neue Galerie, a petite Yoko Ono wearing her usual newsboy-like cap and sunglasses. She was smiling and seemed to be in a good mood. She was with a guy, but didn't get a look at him.

Was in Dean and Deluca around 8pm on Friday July 14th and stood right behind Jaquetta Wheeler and a female friend. They were buying sandwiches and water and then Jaquetta ran back to buy some beer, I think. They were going back and forth about who would pay; Jaquetta looked great and not super skinny which was nice

Saw Catalina Sandino Moreno of Maria Full of Grace Fame on the uptown 6 train on Saturday night. She was with a handsome foreign man and they were carrying huge bag from the Apple store in Soho. She was STUNNING in regular jeans and a button down shirt with zero makeup. They got off at my stop at 103rd street; I think she lives up there.

Went to Cipriani on Friday night and saw Simon Cowell there, dining with a blonde who looked to be in her early 20's, if that. They looked pretty cozy and left together in a limo that was waiting for them outside.

At "The History Boys" the other night, none other then the newly de-babied US Weekly EIC Janice Min. Sitting at the end of my row with standard looking male...baby daddy?

Seen at Soba-ko in the East Village at 9:30 in the evening: Kate Hudson and hubby Chris Robinson walked in for dinner. Kate did not look nearly as anariffic as has been recently reported and her husband looked his usual Oklahoman militiaman self. This was probably the most boring celebrity sighting experience of my life.

Just saw Cindy Adams walking her yorkies up Park Avenue, in full makeup (Cindy, not the dogs). She scooped them both up, one in each hand, gave both a smooch on the head and told them, "Once around the block and then we're finished!" It was an adorable scene, no joke.

Saw Cyndi Lauper at The Slipper Room on the Lower East Side after Seth Herzog's comedy show Sweet. She looks exactly the same in person as she does in the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun video.

Walking north on Amsterdam on Friday, July 14 just before 6 PM...see a familiar face sitting in the window of Josie's. Turns out it is Mark Moses (Paul Young on Desperate Housewives) dining with Wendie Malick. He was having the soup, but I wasn't sufficiently stalker-ish to stop and turn to see what she was having.

5:30, Chelsea Cinemas (23rd & 8th): A very harried, kooky lady asking two gentlemen to cut ahead of them in line for popcorn because her movie (Pirates of the Caribbean) was starting and she didn't want to miss a minute! The two guys gladly let her go ahead of them as she ordered a TUB of popcorn and a coke. This little lady with a big appetite was none other than Janet Wood herself, Joyce DeWitt! And I gotta say she looked great in her gray exercise wear and big sunglasses. I'm also pleased to report that she's still sporting her trademark "Three's Company" 'do and it rocks, even in 2006.

Saw Janice Dickenson outside Jersey Boys last night looking pissed because her car wasn't there to pick her up. With her pretty daughter and main gay, ignoring a fan who told her how she loves how she speaks her mind. Very skinny with too much surgery, nice dress though.

At M1-5, weird-chinned Shepard Smith was with a tall blonde, walked in after the Scene concert ended, the DJ stopped spinning, and there were only about 5 other people at the bar. I wanted to say, Anderson you're great.

A sweaty and swarthy Rolling Stone publisher and political muckraker Jann Wenner seen walking into ornate Fred E. French Building at 551 Fifth Ave. at 45th Street just after 10AM on Thursday, July 13. Shorter than expected, Jann stood out like a sore thumb wearing a buttoned up navy blue suit and red power tie in the 90-degree heat.

Yesterday morning 7/12 around 10:30 am I was walking past the criminal court on Centre Street when paparazzi started to swarm snapping pictures around the entrance. Of course I stopped to stare, and saw a short black woman dressed all in white, wearing big sunglasses and carrying a handbag in the center of attention. A few other woman gawking with me wondered out loud "is that Lil' Kim? I thought she got out of prison last week" which is exactly what I was thinking. But no, it was foxy brown, at a hearing for assaulting two manicurists. I love New York.

Al Sharpton, Sunday, July 16 at 8pm: flying Delta, first class, from Seattle to JFK. Drank GENEROUSLY, got up to use the restroom twice during a 4.75 hour flight.

I saw Tara Reid in front of the Hotel Gansevoort last night. She was tossing her stiff blonde extensions in the gentle summer breeze. She was surrounded by an entourage of handlers. We weren't sure it was her until she opened her mouth and that voice came out. She looked like a giantess.

I saw Monica Lewinsky at 9am this morning looking through her handbag for her "metrocard" before going through the turnstile at the 57th & 6th Avenue subway stop (F).

Bea Arthur downing sake shots at Koi...spicy in a red capelet and had a much younger man. Girlfriend got it going on.

7/12, Da Silvano's @ 9pm... James Frey on a double date with an agenty-looking guy (suit/tie) and two attractive skinny brunettes...is he allowed out in public? Shouldn't he still be hiding in shame so he can re-emerge at a much later date for an attempted comeback?

[Ed: The following is, quite obviously, presented unedited, and in its entirety.]

3:30 pm 78th St. and Madison Ave. on the East side of the street. I glance up through the mid-afternoon sun glare at the corner to see MTV/Viacom President and CEO Tom Freston sliding into a yellow cab. The door was held open by a friend or associate of his who bid him, "Bye, Tom" in a blue shirt with his sleeves rolled up. He both opened & closed the cab door for Freston. I don't know about you, but I will open a door 100% of the time for a woman, but for men, whether friends or business associates, Im far less
likely to open & close a cab or other door for them. I think this demonstrated his subservience and respect for the powerful MTV major domo.
Tom Freston was wearing a natty navy blue sportcoat which looked to be a double-breasted blazer. I think I saw the gold buttons winking in the bright Avenue sunshine. I was impressed by the cut and fit of the blazer. It had just the right amount of padding at the shoulders, and was an appropriate warm-weather weight-looking wool. Worn properly, a well-fitting double-breasted blazer lends an air of jauntiness and authority to a mature gentleman, especially someone like Freston who must be, oh, mid-to-late-50s?
On a vintage clothing note, I love the Pierre Cardin 1970s full-cut navy double-breasted blazer that my father gave me when he no longer had need for it in casual South Beach, where he moved in his twilight years. The Cardin blazer is of a heavier material and a fuller, Continental lapel cut than Freston's this afternoon. His is lighter weight and more of a sleek & sporty American casual silhouette.
As he slid into the cab, I noticed Freston's peat moss-green khaki trousers. I couldnt see if they were flat-front or pleated- as you know a proper double-breasted blazer is a longer garment that extends below the waistline- but they appeared to be a comfortable, generous cut. But still well-cut to his long, avuncular legs. I was impressed by the contrast of the peat-green slacks against the deep navy blazer's hue- it was subtle & yet authorative like his entire ensemble and demeanour. Peeking out just above the blazer collar was Freston's dress shirt, which appeared to be a pink and white checked gingham pattern. It lent a cheerful and breezy tone to his business garb, a pink chemise works so well worn casually underneath a double-breasted blazer for business. The make of the shirt may have been Thomas Pink- the particular larger check pattern looked exactly like a favourite blue/white Pink gingham check chemise that I own that is proper yet ebullient. Pink uses particularly high-quality cotton for their dress shirts, and their trademark palette of Easter Sunday pastels is delicious, convivial and assured.
Freston has an impressive thicket of silver grey hair for someone circa 60 years of age. Think Warren Beatty's shag in "Shampoo," just as casually messy and full, with random patches shooting out from the stack spontaneously, blithely, untamed, rambunctious. His silver shade conveyed maturity and experience, but also a rock star's eternal enthusiasm and good-natured unpredictability, like Mick Jagger's recent coiff but in boardroom appropriate salt & pepper speckled grey. Freston's sartorial ensemble was equally cheerful, the navy blazer fitting perfectly conveying an implacable, jaunty, rapturous, self-posssessed stature & achievement. The peat slacks, comfortable & full, bridging the gap between frat house and Broadway-ready. And the subtly celebratory pink/white gingham dress shirt- the combination of joie de vivre and impeccable worldly tailoring that only a multi-millionaire Music Televison industry President/CEO can summon and pull off. Well done, Tom, you are my Business Dream come to life.
