hey orville, you'll be a block down from my gentrifyin' black ass! i'll say here what i told my beloved girl, highclassjackass 5 blocks down from me - it sucks and it's good she didn't retaliate with equally ignorant offensive bigotry. most in these areas have historically been here because they were pushed out someplace else where they weren't welcome so there's some defensiveness.
that said, the attacks on folks like jackass aren't right and misdirected. yell at the folks in city hall, not those of us takin' advantage of the green we can save. and folks lets not remember, jackass and T's friends are - pardon the pun - very much in the minority. The majority of folks gettin' flak for trying to enter where they supposedly don't belong remain colored folks without a record label trying to get in that coop, condo or just plain street/avenue on the upper east/west side.

I already got punched in the face for being white on the Shuttle Train in Prospect (Crown) Heights. Fuckit, I know I look like a victim, so I'm taking a car service to the train.
Yeah, when I was deeper in Bed-Stizzle my neighbors were white and would get harrassed and punched all the time. Thing was, after a few years of dealing with that stuff, I could tell they were gradually getting more and more racist against blacks just by subtle things they did and said, although they never could admit it overtly.
