A mere footnote to all the recent press photo frenzy, but thanks to several tipsters, here's the man with cloned hands mentioned yesterday. Caption:

Bob Newton uses ultrasound to scan a section of pipe looking for weak spots along an oil transit pipeline that leaked 200,000 gallons of oil in March 2006 at the Pardoned Bay oil field on Alaska's North Slope Friday, Aug. 4, 2006. BP Exploration Alaska, Inc. began shutting down the Prudhoe Bay oil field Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 after the discovery of unexpectedly severe corrosion and a spill from a Prudhoe Bay oil transit line. Not sure if it was photog Grillo whose "dirty sensor" required cloning the man's hands or that piece of pipe behind him. Undoctored (or at least, better-doctored) photo after the jump. So nefarious!

This image was lost some time after publication, but you can still view it here.
