PETER Boyle ascended up to Santa's heavenly workshop at almost the same time the Golden Globes nominations came down. Our last conversation, in March of this year, we talked awards. Peter said: "Oh, no way I'd ever go to one of those events and sit through that long thing. I'll watch it on TV. At home. In my slippers. And have a restful night." May he now have a restful forever.
