Glaring Omissions reproduces tips received from readers in the last week that weren't covered on Gawker, either by accident (rarely) or design (almost always). Feel free to remark on these items' relative worthiness for coverage and/or relative stupidity. And, as ever, we're open to suggestions for future posts either via email or in the comments below.

• "Good lord, [Jacob Collins] is jewily-hot. I've only found one photo so far...scroll down mid-page."
• "Jacob Collins is actually very hot — he has this small, endearing chip in one his front teeth, and his hair is perfectly jew-fro-y (not too wild). AND he's sporty, which is refreshing for an artistic type. So, there you go. She's also really beautiful, but they're both so nice, you can't dislike them for being perfect."
• "jacob collins: yeah, um, somehow the article forgot to mention that he's loaded — his mother's part of the kuhn family that founded investment bank kuhn loeb — it ain't the painting that's paying for the house."

  • "Judith Regan: HarperCollins tries to get her off their company site. Check their domain forwarding:

  • "I am offended at Gawker's continuing use of words like 'guinea' and 'wop' on your web site ... Enough with the bigotry towards Italians ... but then again what should I expect from New Yorkers, the only Americans who like the French. And if you think people outside of NY like this city, think again ... and it has nothing to do with Italians. I am ashamed to say I was born and raised in NY - in private schools and an Ivy League University. I always had to 'prove' I wasn't connected. For a city that prides itself on sophistication and liberalism, this city had more anti-Italian bigots than anywhere in the US."
  • "someone posted this on myspace 'tonight at misshapes...... Body: an invitation from andy carlson: We have all been to Misshapes at some point in our lives, some of us were born there, some of us wed there, some of us (actually not me, no way I did, not me) threw up there, some of us read books there, everyone has dj'd there, including God and baby Jesus. So, now you have Kamisol (nominated for another Grammy) shooting a music video at Misshapes tonight add Jake's sister (who blacks out), add the six of Kamisol plus Snook, add the fact that there are eleven people staying at Kristian's house, seven at mine, then throw in like a thousand cliche tourists and you are going to have quite a nice time. Come to Misshapes tonight. I'll be there in the rarity of Andy mode. Plus were going to take sexy pictures of you. Max is playing a jock. Scarr is playing a black person. And Jake is playing debaucherous.'"
  • "Quick question: I love Diane von Fuerstenburg, but have never been able to figure out why she keeps marrying rather openly gay men (Egon von Furstenberg, who probably died of aids) and Barry Diller. Is there some reason for this?"
  • "ivanka plagiarizing nick hornby: from the mouth of rob gordon: 'hey, i'm not the smartest guy in the world. but i'm certainly not the dumbest. i mean, i've read books like the unbearable lightness of being and love in the time of cholera, and i think i've understood them. they're about girls, right? just kidding. but i have to say my all-time favorite book is johnny cash's autobiography cash by johnny cash.' so maybe she's just saying she's of mediocre intelligence."
  • "If you do end up covering that thing that landed in the NJ yard, you should try to find a clip from the CW where a woman blames it on global warming."
  • "Margaret Atwood invented the Long Pen. (Don't know if she's a celeb to you, but since you read books like 'The Swimming Pool Library' chances are you know who she is. I mean, I do - and I'm just an idiotic publicist.)"
  • "Jewish horror novel: Les Sussman wrote his first novel — about an orthodox rabbi hunting vampires in NYC — which three literary agents turned down. Sussman had put the idea of selling the book out of his mind until he began volunteering for the Jewish Braille Institute, which provides audio books and other written materials free-of-charge to the Jewish blind. The JBI loved the idea of the book and have asked Sussman to record it. 'This will be our first exclusively-published book,' said volunteer coordinator Lisa Kirsch."
  • "hal niedzviecki: Just so you know, the dude's written like... six full books. and smart people who actually read books, and are involved in the publishing industry here in Canada have heard of him. (Just so the festering blowhard-ness of your present commenters is set straight.)"
  • "Just heard that Nancy Palumbo (formerly of the NY Lottery hired by the NYDN to take over p.r.) is bringing in yet another p.r. person for the newspaper. Word on the street is that the new spokesperson is the current director of p.r. for the NY lottery. Not sure if this has been reported anywhere. This has been about the third or fourth change in the paper's p.r. department in three years. Until recently, Beth Seibold was the acting director of PR. Donna Dees before her. Eileen Murphy before her. And Ken Frydman before her."
