New York Times Op Ed boss Andrew Rosenthal is under fire for his hiring policy. The staff at the Paris outpost of the NYT is involved in dispute with management over gender parity. Rosenthal's IHT Op-Ed is all male team and all appointments since New York took over the reigns have been male — Andrew Johnston, Brian Zittel, Steve Coates, Joel Gardner, Serge Schmemann. The latest appointment, a replacement deputy editor, has caused particular concern and the gender disparity had been brought to management attention.
