Own A Piece Of The 'Times' Auction

More fun at the Times!
Everyone wants to know: "What are we going to do with all this stuff ? "Well, some of it, like the maps and prints of New York, will move to the new building but lots of it is of sentimental value and might find a better home in your home. To make this happen, the Communications Council for the New Building has created the "Own a Piece of The New York Times Auction." The auction will be an opportunity for you to bid on things you have always had your eye on and to support The New York Times College Scholarship Program.
What might the lucky folks on 43rd Street be bidding for? Here's a sneak preview!
- LOT Number 202: Set of fly-fishing lures left in Howell Raines' office during his departure. Barely used, these lures will provide countless hours of enjoyment and induce many metaphors for life and work, etc.
- LOT Number 203: James "Scotty" Reston's Little Black Book. Mainly of sentimental value, this address book contains the names and numbers of the most influential politicians and sources in Washington, D.C., during the Cold War era. Also, former First Lady Mamie Eisenhower is listed under the "Booty Calls" section, which is kind of interesting.
- LOT Number 204: Stuffed moose. Suitable for important meetings. You can't ignore it!
- LOT Number 205: Signed photo of publisher Arthur Hays Sulzberger and Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin plotting to undermine America.
- LOT Number 206: Box containing every "Escapes" section since the feature's inception. Mint, unread.
