So Rush Limbaugh met former president Bill Clinton last night. How very nineties! It turned out to be an amiable affair at Jeffrey Chodorow's Kobe Club. (Gag.) Clinton also introduced Rush to L.A. mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who ran interference while Bill chatted up Limbaugh's date. But there was another member of the president's party there as well!

They left I guess about five minutes before I ended up leaving. As they left, the president had a friend with him. The president didn't come back to the table when they left but Ron Burkle was also in the president's group, and he stopped to say hello. So I stood up and said, "Hello, Mr. Burkle." I'm very familiar with Ron. He's a big Los Angeles guy and so forth, and then they left. I guess it was ten minutes, as I say, or so after that, I left.

The two encountered each other once more outside the restaurant, and then Burkle and Clinton disappeared into the night, to totally not hunt down some tail.
