In a recent blog post, Jason Calacanis predicts that "Google will have 90 percent search market share in the U.S. one year from now." That leaves little room for Calacanis's own Mahalo. So how'd he bring himself to say it?

That's an insane prediction I was told, after I made it in front of a half dozen of the most important public market investors in the tech world at a conference recently (think the largest shareholders in Yahoo and Google). It was midnight and folks were on their second or third Macallan 25*, but folks immediately sobered up.

That's okay, Mr. Calacanis! From the gleeful emails you've been sending our boss about Jimmy Wales, we now know you're not trying to kill Google — you're trying to take down Wikipedia!
