On "The Daily Show" at least, what's making him mad is whatever the writers tell him he's mad about.
"His voice is so familiar that his rants are now written by 'Daily Show' writers, with Black contributing ideas and lines. 'It's a fun voice to write in,' he says. 'And they're better at it sometimes than I would be.' "

Funny thing is - I saw him in ABC Carpet & Home a couple of years ago. How whipped do you have to be to be in ABC on a Sat. afternoon with a lady? I've never bought his act since as I can't help but picture him being herded up the stairs to the designer bedding by a trim UES blonde.
@TedSez: See, now that kind of ruins it for me. But it explains why sometimes he needs to read the prompter, which always struck me as odd for someone in the throes of such an impassioned speech.
And anyway, my blogs think Lewis Black sounds like he has a "condition". I'm always worried he'll cough up something alive and flopping onto the desk right there in front of Jon.
