Porn Tax Unites Pervs, Conservative Pervs, Reporter Pervs
New York guv David Paterson's proposed tax on porn is having the wonderful effect of uniting conservatives and porn producers. Also it's allowing reporters to hang out in porn stores, "legitimately." Everybody's winning!
National Unity Win: Paterson's original, dumb idea was to tax digital downloads, which he's clarified also includes sexy, sexy porn. The New York Conservative Party and the "self-proclaimed King of Porn" are both quoted opposing it. Strange bedfellows alert! (Do you get it?) Republicans haven't been this close to the porn industry since they were having horribly repressed evangelical gay bathroom sex all over the place! Amirite?
Journalism win: The Daily News reporter got to go wander around the porn shops in Times Square looking for "quotes," and Chuck Bennett of the New York Post got to interview "Shawna Lenee, 21, a perky blonde, March 2009 Penthouse Pet and star of more than 200 hardcore videos." (I'm guessing because she is Col Allan's masturbatory favorite? Just guessing). In both cases, big win!
Governor Paterson is unable to see porn.
