Happy gay marriage day, Vermont! Yes, same-sex couples can now tie the knot in the Green Mountain state. Of course some anti-gay shitheads protested the first, midnight nuptials, but there's plenty of other tasty support. Namely: Ben and Jerry.

Following their liberal, hippie tradition, Ben & Jerry are celebrating Vermont's big, gay day in grand style. They announced that they're renaming their "Chubby Hubby" ice cream as "Hubby Hubby." Temporarily, at least. The company will send out a truck to spread their delicious love today and, for the next 30 days, will use the "Hubby Hubby" moniker in its Vermont locations. They are, however, considering changing it permanently, but we'll see if they actually follow through on that.

"The legalization of marriage for gay and lesbian couples in Vermont is certainly a step in the right direction," said CEO Walt Freese (ha!), but anti-gay shitheads don't have much taste for the company's celebration. MassResistance leader Brian Camenker sniveled, "It's a bad idea, especially because I think they're just doing it to rub it in that Vermont has legalized gay marriage." Yow! We knew these people were looney tunes, but they're so anti-gay that they even hate on ice cream parties? That's some serious, demented dedication.

(Note: This picture is of two women in California, not Vermont. The ladies were protesting that state's totally ridiculous law against gay marriage. But they're so sweet looking — sweeter than iced cream — that we could resist using them. Old lesbians are the best!)
