Urb magazine, the hip hop-ish lifestyle mag, is reportedly folding its print edition until further notice and going all-digital. Hip hop magazines remain an endangered species. [via Sage Francis, Byron Crawford]

URB isn't exactly a hip-hop lifestyle mag, that was like a special issue, they're more electronica oriented but actually pretty open to a little bit of everything. Sad.

@mexiback: urb was definitely a dance music mag; botswana is right. it was a pioneer and one of the last mags standing covering that genre in the u.s. i wrote for it when i was a wee lass. r.i.p.

URB was a dance music magazine. I think in the last few years they covered hip-hop and indie rock more though.

And any magazine that writes about Bun B and Patton Oswalt in the same issue is ok with me.
