Thousands in Detroit lined up upon rumors of stimulus checks being handed out, leading Glenn Beck to compare progressives, who he blames for creating a reliance on government assistance, to "slave owners." We've got the video.

The city of Detroit distributed more than 50,000 applications for the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing program over the past several days that would provide a maximum of $3,000 per applicant. The program, however, only allows 3,500 people to qualify and receive the money.

Beck asks "when you were growing up, would you ever, ever, remember seeing your town, people flocking to government offices over rumors of stimulus checks being handed out?"

Well, didja? Didja, Pollyanna? Well clearly we're living in an Obama created dystopia, where money is flying out of buildings. This all leads Glenn to his perfectly reasoned argument comparing the progressives he finds responsible for such madness to "slave owners"
