Li'l Wayne Live Streams His Last Night Before Going to Jail
Right now Li'l Wayne is serving a year-long jail sentence in New York for gun possession. Before hitting the clink, he decided to broadcast his last night of freedom on the internet before riding his Bugatti Veyron into the darkness.
The hour-long live broadcast was mostly uneventful, with Li'l Wayne answering some fan questions and telling his friend that he types fast "like a white person". There were some highlights, however, when Weezy got support from some famous friends with an appearance from Fat Joe (42 minutes) and a phone call from Drake (46 minutes). He leaves his broadcast at 2 AM in Miami so he can make it to jail in time in New York.
You can see the full broadcast here. (NSFW, Language.)
It almost may be a blessing for Li'l Wayne, as he will be in jail throughout his 27th birthday. This gives him the opportunity to stay (relatively) sober throughout the year that most brilliant artists die too young. And believe me, Li'l Wayne was a prime candidate to join Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Kurt Cobain in the 27 Club.
Stay strong, Weezy. We'll wait for you on the other side.
