During today's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC)—currently underway in Washington, DC—a man named Ryan Sorba took the podium and condemned the organization for inviting GOProud, a gay rights group. The conservative crowd then booed him off the stage.

Sorba is a representative of California Young Americans for Freedom, whatever that is. He's also a slimy, bigoted, unrepentant jerk, and the fact that even a room full of the country's conservative leaders would boo him speaks volumes about his character (or lack thereof).

Let's hope this is yet another positive—albeit small—step toward the attainment of federally-protected human rights for all Americans.
