America's inability to grasp the very fundamentals of nutrition is nothing short of a global punchline. It shouldn't be surprising, then, when Jamie Oliver quizzes a group of 1st graders and they can't name a single vegetable he shows them.

I understand a six year old not knowing an eggplant by sight, and I wouldn't expect a first grader's diet to be loaded with cauliflower. But not knowing what celery is? Having no idea what a tomato, the simplest of all vegetables, looks like?!? This is why you're fat, America. You may not make friends with salad, but at least you probably won't be pushing 270 pounds by your mid-30s if you know early enough in life tomatoes exist outside of ketchup form. Do it for the kids, people!
