Jim Cramer Forgoes Doing His Job to Play with a Turtle
Jim Cramer took a break from picking stocks at the top his lungs while playing sound effects to share his set with a tortoise today. Why did he do this, you ask? Good question!
Now Cramer's a little wacky and this sort of stunt isn't entirely out of the question for him, and surely said tortoise must provide some sort of metaphorical value. Perhaps the tortoise is there to illustrate something about the country's state after economic collapse, or is a symbol of recovery under the stimulus package. Except it's not. Because it's just a tortoise that Jim Cramer is playing with. And not only does this tortoise provide no content for the show, but it completely distracts Cramer from doing his job—he spends the first couple of minutes of his segment baiting CNBC's Erin Burnett into a race between this tortoise and the one he keeps at home instead of doing screaming at America to invest in GE.
