Ernesto Shaw, aka DJ Clue, is a Power 105 DJ and influential mixtape producer.

An aspiring rapper from Queens, Shaw accidentally fell into DJing and earned buzz for 1990 mixtape "Clue #24." By the mid-90s Clue made his mark by releasing mixtapes with exclusive, unreleased tracks from other artists, such as Notorious B.I.G., which naturally irritated Biggy's, Sean Combs. However, Clue ultimately benefited from Combs' negative attention by finagling a deal with Combs' label and producing one his most popular mixtapes "Bad Boy Mixtape Vol. 1." While cutting strings of popular remixes in the early aughts, from Mariah Carey's "Heartbreaker" to Usher's "U Remind Me" and N'SYNC's "It's Gonna Be Me," Clue released several original albums, including The Professional and The Professional Part 2 but has since slowed down a bit. These days, he spins daily on Power 105, one of New York's most popular hip hop stations and write posts for Power 105's blog. [Image via Getty]
