Alec Baldwin
Possibly the most temperamental father in America, Baldwin has managed to go from hunky actor to paunchy hothead while still landing high-profile acting jobs.
Baldwin grew up in Massapequa surrounded by his soon-to-be marginally famous brothers. In the '80s, he eventually moved up the food chain with roles in Beetlejuice and Working Girl, and during the '90s, Baldwin's bread and butter consisted of Hollywood thrillers: his resume reached a high point with Glengarry Glen Ross. More recently, Baldwin's gained a bigger fan base through comedy: In addition to hosting SNL more than anyone, he is beloved on NBC's 30 Rock in which Baldwin's Republican alpha-male plays the foil to Tina Fey's creative liberal.
Never one to shy away from drama, Baldwin's long-running battle with ex-wife Kim Basinger over custody of their daughter, Ireland, reached boiling point in April 2007 when an irate and appallingly abusive voicemail he'd left on Ireland's cell phone was leaked, likely by Basinger, to the public. (Just a snippet: "I don't care that you're twelve or eleven or whatever... I'm a good father, and you're a pig."). A major donor to Democrats and NPR, Baldwin's vociferous and opinionated smart phone use is as impassioned as any of his past ourbursts. [Image via Getty]
