The older and more serious-minded of Mayor Bloomberg's two daughters, Emma works at the Robin Hood Foundation. Her sister is Georgina Bloomberg.

The first byproduct of the marriage between the Mayor and his first wife, British-born Susan Brown, Emma went to school at Spence and Princeton and first entered the public eye in 2001, when-fresh from writing her senior thesis-she pitched in on her father's first mayoral campaign. After earning a joint degree in public administration and business administration from Harvard Business School, in August 2007 Bloomberg started a job as a senior planning officer at the Robin Hood Foundation. The more down-to-earth and less frivolous of the Bloomberg sisters, Emma and former Princeton/HBS classmate Christopher Frissora, the son of Hertz CEO Mark Frissora, were married in 2005 in a ceremony officiated by her father.
