Last fall, erratic actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi walked out on a $10,000 bill at a California hotel. Today a judge sent the pair to the clink for the crime and dodging court appearances. Crazy!

The Quaids had refused to show up for previous hearings about their outstanding bill—which has since been paid in full—and this morning a judge in Santa Barbara registered his displeasure when they finally made their way into a courtroom, ordering them each held on $100,000 bail. The judge was also not amused that the couple brought Quaid's Golden Globe statue to the courtroom in an attempt to curry favor or blind him with its brilliance or maybe hit him over the head with it. Let's hope there's a trial just so there will be even more colorful stories and continued shenanigans. This movie of the week writes itself. Maybe Quaid will play himself!
