Dr. Phil finally strangled the caterpillar that has been taking residence above his upper lip for the last forty years. The transition was done on stage at Radio City Music Hall during Oprah's live show in New York City.

For some reason this will probably be classified as a major media moment (although maybe not, a lot of things did happen this week), and seeing the event while it happened must have been shocking for their live audience. As a viewer it made me a little sad - that mustache sure did hide a lot of his face. Not that it ever concealed his judgements, because those are always made very clear on his program.
